I want to turn children's work into ZINES and place them in bookstores

When I worked at a foreign-owned company, I keenly felt the importance of communication, so even after changing careers to become an elementary school teacher, I have had a strong attachment to Japanese language classes.

I have incorporated two hours a week as "writing time," where students can freely write what they want, such as stories, poems, explanatory texts, or essays.

Even just sharing their written work with friends creates a wonderful atmosphere, with children watching nervously as their friends read their work, and smiling when they receive feedback.

However, personally,

"I wonder if I could publish the children's work and sell it in bookstores."

That is what I am thinking. The goal is not to sell them to make a profit.

I believe that if their work is published in book form and there are people who might buy it at a bookstore, they might engage in creating their work more seriously and enjoyably.

Even if it is publishing, making it into a small booklet called a ZINE is something that can be sufficiently handled using the school printer. Recently, even large bookstores have ZINE corners, and I think if I negotiate with independent bookstores, they might place the work there.

Alternatively, it might be possible to create a dedicated account on note and sell the work there. However, this seems to have high hurdles to clear, such as personal information, so it is probably unlikely to be realized.

I am creating lessons while thinking about wanting to connect classroom learning activities with the real world, and with the outside world.

Children's work is truly interesting. Just imagining their work being published and lined up in bookstores makes me excited. I want to do a job where I can take on various challenges and feel that kind of excitement a lot.
