[Solo Travel] A trip to enjoy ES CON FIELD for two consecutive days while drinking alone
ES CON FIELD was established in 2023. Every day while watching Nippon-Ham games on TV, I would think, 'I want to go to ES CON FIELD so badly!' For this solo trip, I finally made it to the long-awaited ES CON FIELD! It was a trip to fully enjoy ES CON FIELD: Day 1 at ES CON FIELD, Day 2 at ES CON FIELD.
The plan for this trip was
Day 1: Watching a game at ES CON FIELD
Day 2: ES CON FIELD Stadium Tour
I secured an infield seat all by myself, and while I was getting tipsy on beer, they clinched a spot in the Climax Series!!
The game schedule and my work days off just wouldn't align. I spent my days constantly clicking through seat maps on ticket sites... before I knew it, the season was nearing its end. 😇 After agonizing over which seat to choose, I decided on an infield seat on the first-base side, which is behind the Fighters' bench. With the season winding down and the Fighters in the middle of a CS race, most tickets were already sold out, but I found one single empty seat in the infield and grabbed it.
The seat I purchased this time is
[FIELD LEVEL Infield 1st Base Side Sec. 115 Row 16 Seat 8].
The price was 6,000 yen.
The view from here is...

Well, as luck would have it, the game day for the ticket I bought was the game where a win would clinch the CS spot. 😙 However, being the silly person I am, I made mistake after mistake on the way to ES CON FIELD, and by the time I got in, the game had already started. 😭😭😭 But the tense atmosphere the moment I walked in and the sight of ES CON FIELD spreading out before me—it was such a magnificent view that I forgot all about being late.
I sat in my lonely empty seat in the infield, which was packed with fans... but because I was late and alone, I felt a bit left out of the stadium's atmosphere. So! Between innings, I headed to the merchandise shop, bought a jersey, grabbed the beer and fried hoki fish I'd bought on the way, and finally, I was in game-watching mode!

The sense of presence from the infield seats is irresistible!
Now, the result of this game was...

The Fighters won!!!
The mood at ES CON FIELD after clinching the CS was at its peak.

Wow, what a great day to come to a game. I was on the bus home, still soaking in the afterglow. 😽
Enjoying the stadium tour and ES CON gourmet food at the open-roof ES CON FIELD!
The day after the CS was clinched, I went to ES CON FIELD to enjoy the gourmet food and the stadium tour.Even on days without games, some stores and shops at ES CON FIELD are open. Also, the outfield seats are open, so you can enjoy a meal while looking out at the beautiful ES CON FIELD.If your timing is good, you can even see the players practicing. When I went, I was able to see Sachiya Yamasaki adjusting for his next start!

Travel from Kitahiroshima Station to ES CON by rental bicycle
It takes about 25 minutes to walk from Kitahiroshima Station to ES CON FIELD. Hmm, it's a tricky distance. 😅 I could walk, but I don't want to get all sweaty, and I don't really want to spend money on a taxi... Just then,I found rental bicycles at Kitahiroshima Station! And theserental bicycles are electric bikes. The road from Kitahiroshima Station to ES CON lets you feel nature, and the banners of Fighters players along the way get you excited. With an electric bike, I was able to travel easily and smoothly while enjoying the journey. Also, these rental bikescan be dropped off at stations near the stadium. I recommend using a bicycle for your commute. 😉 Since I drank at the stadium, I had to walk back, but for those who want to drink, it's convenient that you can use the bike just for the way there and drop it off!
If the weather is nice, the roof is open! 'Sora to Shiba' was the best, where you can drink delicious beer with a magnificent view!
'Sora to Shiba by Yona Yona Ale' is located on the back screen of ES CON FIELD. Here, you can drink original craft beer while overlooking the field. If you go up to the second floor of this shop, there is a space where you can overlook the stadium from above the center back screen. The weather was nice that day, andthe roof of ES CON FIELD was opened! The beer while looking at the best view was amazing.

A unique stadium tour experience! I was guided by a Fighters Girl and got to explore the interview area and the manager's seat!
At ES CON FIELD, stadium tours are held even on days without games, allowing you to enjoy the stadium. There are two types of stadium tours: the Premium Tour (3,500 yen) and the Basic Tour (1,800 yen). I participated in the Basic Tour this time, so I will share my experience and thoughts.

You can participate in the stadium tour by booking and purchasing tickets through the official Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters website via F-TICKET.
On the day of the tour, you check in near the Flagship Store on the 3rd base side of the 1st floor inside the stadium 10 minutes before the tour starts. After following the staff's instructions and lining up, a Fighters Girl will appear to guide the tour. You won't know which Fighters Girl will be your guide until the tour begins.
The tour lasts 50 minutes. While listening to the history of the Fighters and the charms of ES CON FIELD, you will tour the stadium, experiencing the interview area, visiting the dugout, and walking on the field. While you can only enter up to the outfield seats on days without games, the tour allows you to experience the Diamond Club seats behind the backstop and step inside the bench.Although talking to the players is prohibited, if your timing is good, you can see the players practicing up close. During the tour I participated in, I saw player Kitayama talking to staff inside the bench, and I was able to see him right in front of me! Furthermore, I was also able to see player Ito practicing up close.
Except for restricted areas, photography is allowed. The Fighters Girl guiding the tour will let you know where and when you can take photos.

It was the best stadium tour, where I could see the inside of the stadium and the press conference area up close—things you can't see on TV broadcasts—step inside the stadium to experience ES CON, and be guided by a very cute Fighters Girl. I participated in the Basic Tour this time, but I would love to participate in the Premium Tour next time!
That's all for my ES CON trip! Thank you for reading until the end 🙇♂️
My solo meal this time
To eat soup curry
I wanted to eat soup curry when I came to Hokkaido. I had it at "Kubota Agri Front Cafe" within the ES CON FIELD area. As the name suggests, it is a cafe space attached to an agricultural learning facility operated by Kubota Corporation, which is famous in the agricultural field. I had the chunky vegetable chicken soup curry here. The vegetables were just so delicious! As someone who doesn't like broccoli, this soup curry made me realize, "So this is what delicious broccoli tastes like!" 😆
