You can discard dreams you are able to give up on
Successful people often say, "It's because I didn't give up on my dream," but I believe it is actually because "it was a dream they could not give up on." “It was a dream they could not give up on” is what I think it really is.
Life may seem long, but it is short. There is no guarantee you will die of old age, and death might be approaching tomorrow. If so, discard the dreams you can give up on, and head toward the "dream you cannot give up on."
For me, that was commercial publishing. A trusted person introduced me to a great editor, and I was able to make my dream come true. There was a reason I couldn't give up. It was to help many ordinary people know and utilize the power of their subconscious, for the clients who were looking forward to my book, and because my dying father wished for it. Of course, the fact that I had held onto the dream of becoming an author since I was a child was also a major reason. Having your book displayed flat on a table at a large bookstore for over a month is harder than winning the lottery. It is not just that I was able to publish; it is a further miracle. When you keep heading toward a dream you cannot give up on, it comes true. My mentor is Mr. Inoue, and I even achieved the amazing dream of having my book displayed flat right next to his.
What is the dream you cannot give up on? Please continue to spend your time on that. Since it is something you cannot give up on, there is no need to have feelings about whether there is a possibility or not. If you cannot give up, you just have to keep taking action; that is all.
I really like the anime Hunter x Hunter, and it touches my heart. The protagonist, Gon, cannot give up on meeting his father and keeps moving forward with his friends. He overcomes difficulties thinking only about meeting his father. Even though I know it is an anime, I find myself rooting for Gon.
I dislike people who make fun of those who desperately cling to their dreams. I respect people who have friends with whom they can face things earnestly and grow together while supporting each other.
You can discard dreams you are able to give up on. Please spend your time on the dream you cannot give up on.
