The time my daughter told me I was being "terrible"
The other day, my eldest daughter, who is a university student,
got a haircut.
It's a little shorter than her shoulders,
and she has a loose
perm all over.
Looking in the mirror, she said,
"I got a perm!"
happily.
But,
for some reason, the image that popped into my head
was Sazae-san.
"You kind of look like an old lady."
I said exactly
what I was thinking.
Then,
my second daughter, one of the twins who was listening nearby,
immediately chimed in.
"Mom, you post about parenting, right?"
"Isn't it terrible for someone like that to say something like that?"
…….
Yes,
she is absolutely right.
I couldn't say a word back.
What's more, my second daughter
knows exactly
what to say to get through to me.
"Since you post about parenting."
This one phrase
really hits home for Mom.
That's my daughter for you!!
She completely got the better of me.
