Caring for Clumsy Swallowtail Caterpillars

Swallowtail caterpillars change from black larvae that mimic bird droppings
into green final-instar larvae,
and just when they have grown to about 4-5 cm,
they empty their stomachs completely
and turn into pupae.

However, perhaps because there wasn't a good spot in the insect cage,
a clumsy one that borrows the back of a senior
appears every time...

It has already happened again this year...

Are they just clumsy,
or are they just really fond of their seniors...

When this happens,
the senior pupa, the junior pupa, and even
me, who has to take on the extra care for the one that likely failed to emerge,
end up in a situation where no one wins, so
I have to use masking tape or something similar to separate them
and prepare a pupa pocket made of disposable chopsticks and paper,
commonly known as a 'launchpad'...

I wasn't planning on doing that much caretaking this year, but...
I've pulled out the 'launchpad' I made before
once again...

When I had a large number of them emerge two years ago,
not just the clumsy ones but even the normal ones
had falling accidents during emergence,
but after introducing this launchpad, there were zero falls.

For everyone's happiness,
I'll do my part.
