JR Kyushu's official web magazine, WAQ² JouRnal and note are "#ExcitingMoments" holding a submission contest themed around
!
We have already received many "#ExcitingMoments".
To everyone who has submitted,

Events during your travels.
Moments in daily life when your heart was suddenly moved.
Times when your heart raced a little as you imagined the future.
As we read each and every submission,
we are receiving energy and "excitement" from your "#ExcitingMoments".
In this article, we will share the reason we held this contest,
and the "thoughts" we put into it.
Why are we holding this contest?
Our mission at the JR Kyushu Group is to "prioritize safety, think from the customer's perspective, and create safe, comfortable daily lives and "exciting" moments."
And we believe that the accumulation of these efforts
"Bringing the energy of Kyushu to the world"
will lead to the realization of our dream.
We have put these "thoughts" into the
"WAQ²" of the JR Kyushu Group's web magazine, "WAQ² JouRnal."
WAQ² (Waku-Waku)
Our wish to deliver a sense of exhilaration that wells up in the hearts of our readers. Expressing our desire to be a place that provides "exciting" moments.
WA (Circle/Harmony) Our wish to spin and expand a large "circle" of thoughts from "Kyushu." Expressing our role in connecting people to people and regions to regions.
Q (Kyushu)
Expressing "Kyushu," the center of our business field. Showing our business development centered on Kyushu and our attachment to the region.
We would be happy if, in the daily lives of everyone who reads "WAQ² JouRnal,"
even a little bit of that
"exciting", positive feeling of "Kyushu is great" or "I feel a bit more energized" is born.
For this submission contest,
we would appreciate it if you could reflect on the
"#ExcitingMoments" within you.
We hope that each and every one of your submissions will unexpectedly
lead to someone else's energy,
and that a new "circle of thoughts" will be born and spread.

"#ExcitingMoments" are not just during special trips, but I believe they also quietly breathe within our daily lives. I would like to hear not only about the moment your heart was moved, but also the episodes of the process leading up to it.

Contest Overview
■ Theme & Format
We are looking for note submissions on the theme of "#ExcitingMoments." Please feel free to write in any format, such as manga, essays, illustrations, or novels. There are no restrictions on the format.
■ Schedule
Submission period: January 26, 2026 (Mon) 11:00 AM to February 25, 2026 (Wed) 11:59 PM
Results announcement: Scheduled for April 2026
■ Prizes
・Grand Prix: 1 winner (100,000 yen in gift cards)
・JR Kyushu Award: 2 winners (50,000 yen in gift cards each) *
* The JR Kyushu Award will be selected based on episodes about exciting moments in Kyushu. Please ensure your article clearly states that the event took place in "Kyushu."
* The Grand Prix is also open to entries about exciting episodes that took place outside of Kyushu.

(3) Post an article with the hashtag "#ExcitingMoments"
