Nice to meet you, we are the small-scale publisher "Yoiyami Shobo" (Twilight Books).
We have begun our activities with the concept of "delivering stories that light up the heart when the sun sets and the veil of night falls," aiming to bring unique and vibrant works to everyone.
The word "Yoiyami" (twilight) embodies the duality of the end of the day and the beginning of a new night.
We seek stories born in that "in-between" space—that is, the "wonders lurking in the corners of casual daily life" or "worldviews where light and darkness intersect"—and we will weave them together with our authors.
◆ What Yoiyami Shobo Aims For
Yoiyami Shobo supports authors who have "free and sharp ideas" that are not bound by commercial frameworks.
We want to do our best to help bring works that are like undiscovered rising stars out into the world.
Our theme is "the diversity of stories."
We flexibly support all genres, including novels, poetry collections, and essays.
The stories handled by Yoiyami Shobo range from those that gently nestle close to the reader's heart to those that are stimulating and strike a chord.
◆ Our Commemorative First Project
Here, we would like to introduce a little bit about our first project.
It is a dark fantasy novel titled "The Mercenary Living on the Battlefield and the Man Offering Prayers." This work is a grand story themed around loneliness and hope. Details will be announced in the next article, so please look forward to it!
