Learning The New Word

When I was an elementary school student, I attended an English conversation lesson once a week.
One day, I learned the new word 'penis.'
The next day, I told some boys in my class.

The boys burst out laughing and started asking the girls in my class.

They went around the classroom, asking every girl.
At first, the girls were confused and thought.

But then, the boys started taunting them, saying,

Provoked, one of the girls finally shouted.

The boys roared with laughter and mocked her even more.

From that moment, the girls went ballistic.
I watched the whole situation spiral out of control, and I found it kind of interesting.

Chaos in the Classroom

That afternoon after school, the girls in the class were really angry, and our teacher held an emergency class meeting. She said,

One boy was called on and answered,

Next boy answered,

I thought.

When it was the turn of the boy I had originally told, I raised my hand and stood up. I said,

My teacher looked shocked and dumbfounded.
The girls were surprised because the source of the trouble was one of them.

I had no ill intent. I knew the word was being misused, but I had simply learned a new word.

In the end, my teacher didn't get angry at me and instead addressed the whole class.

Since the one who introduced the word was a girl, and it was purely for language learning with no ill intent, no one got in trouble.

新しい言葉を学ぶということ

私は小学生の頃、週一で英会話教室に通っていました。
ある日、私は「ペニス」という言葉を習って、翌日、男友達にそれを話しました。

男の子達は大爆笑して、クラスの女の子に質問し始めました。

クラス中を回って、すべての女子に質問していました。
最初、女の子達はざわついていました。

しかし、男の子達は煽り散らかしました。

煽られて、ついに女の子の1人が叫びました。

すると、男の子達は大爆笑してからかいました。

その瞬間から、女の子達は本気で激怒しました。
私はその収拾のつかない展開を見て、ちょっと面白いなと思ってしまいました。

教室の混乱

放課後、クラス中の女子がブチギレていて、先生が学級会を開いてきました。

指名された男の子が答えました。

その子は答えました。

私は思いました。

私が教えた男子の番がきた時、私は手を挙げて立ち上がり、言いました。

先生は驚き呆れた顔をしました。
女の子達は、源凶が女子の中にいたので驚いていました。

私には悪気はありませんでした。悪用されているのは知っていましたが、私自身は新しい単語を学んだだけのつもりだったからです。

結局、先生は私を怒らず、全員に対して言いました。

その単語を広めたのが女子であり、純粋に語学学習のためだったので、誰も怒られずに済みました。
