Do you remember our first meeting in the middle of a blizzard the day after Christmas four years ago?
In the photos, you looked so plump and big that I wondered if you were a bear cub, but in reality, when I opened the hatchback of the car, you were so small that I couldn't even find you curled up on the blanket in your crate.
After I finished signing the papers and picked up your tiny body, you didn't make a sound, just quietly settled into my jacket.
You were just so cute.
I always picture that scene in my mind.
Even now, you're still a mischievous one who hasn't quite grown out of your puppy-like wildness.
I'm prepared to spend at least the next 10 years with you, so I'm counting on you.
(I feel like you'd say the exact same thing back to me, lol)
(The day I'll have to push my aging body is coming soon! lol)
May's 49th-day memorial service was held modestly on the 10th, and it's a bittersweet time, but I'm sure May is happy for you too.
Since it's hard to get a satisfying amount of beef for a birthday present, I'll grill plenty of chicken (maybe about 500g?) in a frying pan for you!
When May was here, you two used to share this in a 7:3 ratio, didn't you?
This time, you get it all to yourself, so you can't complain, right? (lol)
I'm collecting information from adoption sites and city facilities because I want to welcome a new family member, but...
Compatibility? Bathing? Potty training? Food? There's no end to the things I worry about.
I guess things will just work out as they will?
