Prose Poem | His Breathing is a Lullaby

He is certainly sensitive to the heat!

Once it goes over 25°C, he collapses on the floor.

So, is he resistant to the cold?

Because he is wrapped in a

fluffy and silky double coat!

It seems 10°C is his limit for endurance.

When it is time for bed, he sticks his nose into the hem of the blanket,

telling me to let him in!

He curls his back into a circle,

and flops down right against my stomach.

Thump! Heavy!

30kg is a lethal weapon, you know! (laughs)

After a big sigh, 'phew,'

a little while later, I hear it,

the cute, soft sound of his breathing.

That was fast!

Has he already fallen asleep?

As I listen to all of that,

a sense of happiness gathers around my warm, cozy stomach,

and my eyelids start to grow heavy.

Let's play again tomorrow!

When I picture that in my mind, before I know it, I'm in a dream.
