[Childcare] He even comes looking for me in the bathroom
🎵 I am not there 🎵
A sorrowful melody is playing in my head.
My 3-year-old son is stomping around, calling out for me at the top of his lungs: "Mommy! Where are you?!"
The kitchen, I am not there.
The study, I am not there.
The bedroom, I am not there.
I am not sleeping, either.
🎵 Into a thousand winds 🎵
Just as the melody in my head reaches the chorus, the bathroom door is flung open, and I am reunited with my son after a few minutes apart.
(By the way, my 1-year-old son is already in the bathroom, watching over my business.)
When will this clinginess end?
If I really did become a thousand winds, how would you two go on living?
On this afternoon of solo parenting, I pray from the bottom of my heart for the health and longevity of moms all over the world.
