Is it really true that 'I'm no good'?
Every event in life is a world reflected by your own heart.
Hello.
To have a calm heart and be happy.
I am Yukiyo-chan, here to help you gently untie the knots in your heart and return to your true self🌿
'I'm no good.'
Have you ever thought that?
Actually, I have too,
I've thought that many times.
But,
one day, it suddenly occurred to me.
'Is it really true that I'm no good?'
🌱 It was me who thought I was no good
In the past,
I had to try harder.
I had to achieve more results.
I had to be kinder.
I had to be a more proper person.
That was all I ever thought about.
And,
every time I saw myself failing,
'I'm no good after all.'
'Everyone else can do it just fine.'
That's what I used to think.
But,
that 'normal,'
who decided it?
Was it my parents?
Was it school?
Was it my company?
Was it social media?
Or,
was it just something I assumed on my own?
🌿 Was I really no good?
At one point,
I suddenly thought.
I,
who was I comparing myself to when I thought I was no good?
Based on what standard,
did I decide I was no good?
At that moment,
Another question came to mind.
Is that ideal self really the ideal you wanted?
🍃 Suffering is born from the distance to your ideals
"I must always be smiling."
"I must not fail."
"Because I am a mother."
"I must do things properly."
We,
without realizing it,
carry many 'shoulds'.
And,
looking at ourselves failing to reach those ideals,
'I am no good.'
That is what we end up thinking.
But,
are those ideals,
really things you chose for yourself?
🌸 Who created those ideals?
Parents.
School.
Work.
Social media.
Television.
The people around us.
We live
amidst many different values.
Of course,
there is nothing wrong with them.
But,
among them,
there may be
'how things should be'
that you didn't choose yourself.
If that is the case,
the cause of your suffering
might not be who you are now,
but that perception itself.
🌿 What nature taught me in Hoshino Village
After moving to Hoshino Village,
I started noticing the wildflowers by the roadside.
In the past,
"Weeds."
That is what I thought those plants were.
But,
when I looked into it,
people in the past,
as wisdom for maintaining their health,
carefully incorporated them into their daily lives.
The plants haven't changed.
What changed,
was my perception.
At that moment,
I thought that perhaps people are the same.
It is not that they have no value.
It may just be that I was convinced,
that they had no value.
🌱 "I'm no good" is not a fact
Of course,
there are times when I fail.
There are also days when things don't go well.
There are times when it is better to reflect on yourself.
However,
that does not mean,
that 'I am a worthless person'.
It does not mean that.
I,
was not no good.
I had just convinced myself that I was 'no good'.
Perhaps,
what was causing the suffering,
was not my current self,
but the perception of 'how I should be'all along.
🌸 Conclusion
So today, too,
I ask myself.
'Is it really true that I'm no good?'
And,
one more thing.
'Is that ideal self really the ideal you wanted?'
Is that ideal,
It might be something you received from someone else.
If so,
it is okay to let it go.
You don't need to become a new version of yourself.
You don't need to become like someone else, either.
You just need to,
remember who you truly are.
That is why I,
ask the question,
'Is that really true?'
It is not to conform to someone else's idea of what is right.
I want to increase the number of people who,
re-examine their own perceptions,
and can live as themselves.
That is,
my wish.
Thank you for reading,
again today🌿
