Starting today, Season 2 of "Jiro Tsukkomi's Retort Diary | Gekiga Max x Near-Future AI" begins.
First of all, Taiji, who was declared to have a "70% chance of being fired" in the special issue, has, as you can see, safely (and as usual, without learning his lesson) continued on from Episode 51.

After all, as the straight man who draws out Jiro's roars, this uneven, long-standing relationship is indispensable. I hope you will continue to watch over Taiji warmly this season.

The theme I chose for the start of Season 2 is the sense of discomfort regarding "stealth price hikes (shrinkflation)" that many people face in their daily lives. The era of keeping prices the same is over. Due to the naphtha shock, product prices are rising across the board.

Jiro's sentiment of"I don't buy them because I don't want to be disappointed after eating them"is perhaps a very real, honest opinion held by modern consumers. Rather than ending it as mere complaining, I have calmly dissected the friction between corporate cost structures and consumer psychology through love-filled data analysis.

This season, we will further strengthen this style of shaking up "common sense, discomfort, and the changing times" hidden in daily life through manga and data.
