Focusing on Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture and Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, I would like to write an article for those who think,Since I've gone to the trouble of visiting a regional city on a business trip, I want to enjoy a delicious meal!I hope this helps.
In this series, I will introduce reasonably priced dishes that cost around 1,000 yen for lunch or around 2,000 yen for dinner, so that even if your taste buds differ from mine, few people will think, "I ate this and it was a failure! What a waste!"

The 22nd installment is,
Aomoriya Gahonz (JR Sendai Station tekute Sendai/Aomori Food)

I have written about this in my note before, but
over the past two or three years, there has been large-scale development at Sendai Station, and the space inside the station has expanded significantly.
Since that space is basically filled with restaurants, I have been wandering around quite a bit, and Aomoriya Gahonz is a shop that particularly caught my eye among them.

When walking through JR Sendai Station tekute Sendai, I think most people will have their eyes drawn to Aomoriya Gahonz.
As written on their website,
The interior is lined with works by Nebuta and Neputa artists! With the festival music of the Aomori Nebuta, Hirosaki Neputa, and Goshogawara Tachineputa playing, it feels like a festival every day! You are sure to be in high spirits!
It is a very impactful exterior as described, and as you can see from the images, it was a shop where you could feel the "Aomori-ness" (a sense of the extraordinary) not only in the exterior and interior, but also in the small details.

The item I ordered is the one in the image,Tsugaru Chuka Soba but the reason I chose this product is because of the phrase on the menu:
Best enjoyed within 3 minutes! Super thin Chinese noodles!
I was captivated by that wording, haha.
It might be a little hard to tell from the image, but they were indeed "extra-thin curly noodles" as described, and they certainly kept getting softer (and breaking apart) while I was eating, so it was a dish that lived up to its claim.
-
As for the taste, I think this isdefinitely something that will divide opinions.
There was a large, prominent piece of chashu pork and some fu (wheat gluten), and the soup was a refreshing, old-fashioned style that was delicious. However, regarding the extra-thin curly noodles mentioned above, if you prefer standard noodles, you might find them difficult to enjoy slowly and thoroughly, so you might not like them.
I am a person who loves Chicken Ramen, so I enjoyed these noodles as well.
Also, looking at the menu, there were still other things I was curious about for lunch, such asseafood rice bowl set meals, so this is a restaurant I will definitely visit again.

As mentioned above, Aomoriya Gahonzu has a menu with many items that pique one's interest.Aomoriya Gahonzu
They offer not only lunch but also dinner centered around alcohol (I assume the evening session is their main focus), so why not consider them as an option when dining at Sendai Station?
