Get Your Own Shoes! A Story of a NEO Cinderella Story👠
Hello, Self-Questioning Fashion Communication here.
In the Cinderella story, the prince picked up the shoe, but such highly coincidental events rarely happen, do they? (talking to myself) In reality, even if one shoe falls off, it's rarely picked up, and the truth is that I have never searched for my destined person relying on a dropped shoe either.

Rather than being searched for, I now have a fun spirit of “I’ll wear my favorite shoes and become the one hosting the ball!🏰” instead.
From now on, let's all charge ahead with our own Cinderella stories with the cheerful feeling of “finding the best shoes myself” and “hosting the ball all on my own”👠
I will list a few stories that might boost your motivation regarding choosing shoes, so please “maybe this applies to me too?” ask yourself☺️ (*Since these are personal stories, I have included some fakes.)

The story of Ms. T, who bought GUCCI shoes and brought all her clothes back to life
This is the story of Ms. T, who loves clothes but has only ever bought shoes at Uniqlo, GU, and ZARA.
“Even if I buy a lot of clothes, it’s not enough, and I end up buying new clothes again...” Ms. T, who said this, loves flat heels and longs for a classical atmosphere, so I recommended GUCCI loafers.
When I said “I recommend GUCCI!”, it wasn't with the intention that she should seriously buy them, but rather “Let’s try wearing good loafers! And keep trying on cheaper ones too, and choose the one you think is just right by comparing the design, price, and comfort.” was my suggestion.
However, Ms. T, who was captivated by GUCCI’s customer service, the beauty of the silhouette, and the effortless charm, didn't feel right wearing shoes from other brands, so after much deliberation, she finally purchased those loafers.
Two years later, she told me, “Akiya-san, ever since I got those loafers, all the clothes I owned look like they are shining! I haven't bought a single new piece of clothing in two years, but I’m happy every day! I’m running around!”
It is a story where one pair of wonderful shoes turned Ms. T into a bubbly, sprinting Cinderella.

The story of Ms. M, who had always worn her mother’s hand-me-downs
Ms. M, in her 30s, has a mother who loves fashion. She says her mother always gives her clothes and accessories she no longer wears.
They all fit, were high quality, and were clean, so she thought “This is fine,” but after she started living alone, she felt uneasy, thinking, “Why are there so many shoes in my shoe rack that I didn't choose myself... What kind of shoes do I really want to wear...?”
However, starting from a state of “never having bought shoes before,” she was in a situation where she didn't know how to choose.
As she visited various shoe stores, her eyes began to sparkle, going from “I didn't know shoes like this existed... (surprise)” to “These shoes are cute... (like)” to “Am I allowed to wear such wonderful shoes...? (questioning)” and finally, “I want to wear these shoes! (hope)” she developed a positive feeling.
Of course, there are twists and turns, such as the shoes you think you want to wear not fitting your feet or clashing with your outfit, but
“This is the first time I’ve ever felt like, ‘I truly want this, I want to wear this!’” she said, and I was so happy that we held hands and rejoiced together.
Ms. M is a Cinderella who has learned the comfort of choosing for herself.

The story of Ms. K, who took off her high heels.
Ms. K, in her 30s, often wore office casual styles with “a nice tight skirt and 7cm heels.” After her health took a turn for the worse, she was feeling down, saying, “I no longer have the energy to wear high heels…”
Since she felt discouraged when she saw her calves looking large in the mirror while wearing flat heels with the knee-length tight skirts she used to wear, I recommended flat lace-up shoes and a skirt that falls below the knee.
For someone who has always worn heels, “lace-up shoes” can actually be quite intimidating. She was anxious, wondering, “Won’t I be able to sparkle like I used to anymore?”
However, once she actually tried them on, she was first surprised by the functionality, saying, “They are comfortable to wear and don’t tire me out,” and then realized, “The look is elegant and modern, isn’t it?”
“I don’t end up exhausted and burnt out at work anymore, my tasks are going well, and I’ve even started to think that this cool vibe might actually suit a management position, so I’ve come to love them!” she told me.
She went from being a cinder girl (not in a derogatory sense, but the Japanese name for Cinderella!) to a sparkling office Cinderella, and it was an episode where she discovered a new charm in herself.

The story of Ms. H, who realized the charm of storytelling!
Ms. H, in her 20s, used to buy shoes she thought were cute at stores like Lumine.
At the department store shoe section I took her to, a sales clerk in her 50s helped us. She taught us everything from the size of the shoes that fit, to care methods, the pros and cons of the shoes, and even advice on how to walk! She also carefully explained the history, background, and story behind how those shoes were created.
As a former department store employee, there are many times when I think, “This kind of ‘meddlesome’ service might be the reason young people stop coming to department stores,” but Ms. H, in her 20s, was delighted, saying, “This is the first time I’ve ever been taught so much knowledge while trying on shoes!✨”
“I used to just wear out cheap shoes, but this pair is packed with the story of how they were born, which makes them even more wonderful! I’m going to take care of them from now on!” she said.
“I realized that fashion has a story,” said Ms. H, in her discovery Cinderella story.

Ms. A, who found the perfect pair of shoes but hasn't bought them yet, looking forward to getting them someday.
Ms. A had a pair of shoes she longed for. They were very expensive shoes, costing over 100,000 yen a pair. When I asked, "Have you ever actually worn them?" she replied, "I'm too intimidated to even try them on," so we decided to try them on together.
Ms. A's eyes sparkled and she looked absolutely beautiful as she stepped into the "dream shoe brand" store. I could even feel her heart racing from where I was standing.
When Ms. A actually put the shoes on, she looked incredibly beautiful and sexy, as if those shoes had been made just for her. It was a breathtaking, light-filled moment that even caught the eyes of the other customers around us.
Having burned that image into her memory, Ms. A"I'm glad I found a version of myself that I think is at her most beautiful. I will work hard and build up my life until I'm mentally prepared to come and claim these shoes one day."she told me. I think that kind of story in one's personal history is wonderful... and it has stayed with me.
This was a story about Ms. A, whoplays the roles of the "Fairy Godmother who casts the spell," the "Prince Charming who comes to claim them," and the "Cinderella who actually wears them"all by herself.

Let's wear the favorite shoes we've carefully chosen!
When you wear shoes you love, beautiful shoes, or shoes you've longed for, a confidence that wells up from the bottom of your heart emerges. And I hope that with those"carefully chosen favorite shoes,"you will stomp on the ground and run through your own unique story on your own two feet.
By the way, the "Cinderella shoes" I talk about are not necessarily high heels or leather shoes. Everyone's ideal shoe is different. Sneakers or boots are fine too. I have to buy men's shoes because my feet are too big, but I love them very much. This is because "everyone has their own needs," and "people with big feet have their own ideal shoes."

Self-inquiry fashion is a fashion course where everyone"lives their own story,"so we are not aiming for the same fashion.I want everyone to hold their own ball and dance wildly and happily. You can cast the magic yourself too 👠
I hope you all cast a spell on yourselves and spend every day feeling excited ♡
