【Close Colleagues】 Manga Artist Kitade-san, Whom I Feel Cannot Be Replaced by AI
Since I started my business in 2009, I have been truly fortunate to meet and be helped by many wonderful people.
On note, I would like to introduce the people I have met and who have supported me through my work. (*With their permission)
This time, I would like to introduce Kitade-san from Kita Design, who draws manga for our flyers and website.
Meeting Kitade-san
When I went to a business meeting at a client's office with the woman in the middle of the opening photo (Mori-san), I happened to see a flyer that Kitade-san had delivered to that client.
I remember being surprised at how accurately she summarized the key selling points.
So, I asked the client, 'Could you please give me the contact information for this manga artist?' and as soon as I left the client's office building after the meeting, I called her.
I don't remember it clearly, but I think Kitade-san's reaction was something like, 'Uh, who is this?'
She must have thought, 'A sudden call from some suspicious person...' (laughs)
I told her I was so impressed by the flyer that I really wanted to meet her, and I made an appointment on the spot.
It was really rude of me to make an appointment with a sudden phone call without explaining the details properly.
Later, I think it was at a coffee shop in Kyobashi, Osaka, we talked about various things, and since then, I have been asking her for work on a regular basis.
She has also created various flyers for my clients.

What makes Kitade-san amazing
I would like to introduce the things that make me think, 'Kitade-san is amazing.'
Her ability to summarize is incredible
What is amazing about Kitade-san (business name: Kita Design) is that she truly conveys what you want to say through manga with such precision.
When she sends me a rough draft midway through, I feel like, 'Ah, this is it!' and I look forward to the finished product.
Of course, if it's different from what I had in mind, I tell her, and she delivers the final product exactly as I imagined.
I believe the quality of all the work involved in production, including this hearing process, cannot be replaced by AI.
I use AI to create illustrations for my own blog, but for flyers and illustrations for clients that absolutely must be perfect, I ask Kitade-san.
The sense of playfulness is amazing
If you read the profile on Kitade-san's website, you'll understand, but I think it's wonderful that she always maintains a sense of playfulness.

I receive a newsletter for clients called the "Inuki Shimbun," and it is really interesting.
There is a spot-the-difference puzzle in every issue, and my family and I look at it together.
I have also received things like a frog charm, coasters, and Amabie-sama stickers.
