Capturing the "Now" of the Island. Scenery a Local Photographer Wants to Share

I was born and raised on Yoron Island, and in 2019, I began sharing information about the island.
At first, I just wanted to share the island's beauty with someone.
As I posted photos on social media, I gradually started receiving reactions.
In 2022, I received the title of "Yoron Island Tourism Ambassador," and in 2024, I quit the company where I had worked for 20 years and decided to make a living solely through this path.

And,now, the camera has become one of the pillars of my activities.

What I am capturing is the scenery and the people.

The sea of Yoron Island cannot be described by the word blue alone.
Because it shows a completely different face depending on the time of day, the weather, and the strength of the wind.
Even if you stand in the same place at the same time, you can never take the same photo twice...
That is precisely why I cannot stop my hand from pressing the shutter every time.

And what I truly want to capture is not just the scenery.
I want to capture the expressions of the people living on the island, the smiles that visitors suddenly show, and those "moments that only exist in that place."
The scenery is like a stage, and the people are the main characters.
Only when both are present does it become the "now" of the island.
