Self-Introduction
Nice to meet you. My name is Ren, and I am a psychological counselor who travels by Cub motorcycle.
Today, I would like to share the origin story of why I chose the path of "counseling."
⸻
◆ The dream of a boy who wanted to be a "teacher"
I originally worked in childcare and aimed to become an elementary school teacher.
Being able to support the process of what dreams children hold and how they grow was my greatest joy.
In the field, I spent my days witnessing their smiles and growth.
And sometimes, there were the voices of children who would confide in me, saying, "Teacher, listen to this."
That moment was my starting point.
⸻
◆ The morning I had no choice but to stop
However, after a certain day, I became afraid to go to work.
In the morning, my hands would shake and my mind would go blank.
I was diagnosed with "adjustment disorder" at a psychiatric clinic and decided to step away from the path of becoming a "teacher," which had been my dream.
"How should I live from now on?"
I remember standing still, like a traveler who had lost their map.
⸻
◆ The "thank you" voices that guided me
When I was lost, searching for an answer, I suddenly remembered words people had given me.
"I was able to talk to you because it was you, Ren."
"Talking to you makes me feel calm and helps me organize my feelings."
Those "thank yous" became my signpost.
"Isn't this a new form of travel for me?"
The moment I realized that, a light was lit deep in my heart.
⸻
◆ Encountering the lifestyle of an "online counselor"
While researching, I learned about the job of an "online counselor," which supports people's hearts through a screen.
"Being able to help someone without being tied to a location"—I was drawn to that free and gentle way of working, and I felt intuitively that this was it.
It was the "beginning of a new journey" for me, the one who had lost his map.
⸻
◆ What I want to deliver from now on

Now, as a "psychological counselor who travels by Cub," I am engaged in activities to support people who are struggling, while sharing the things I notice amidst nature and new encounters.
Everyone has times in life when they stop or feel lost.
At such times, I want to be someone who can say, "It's okay, let's move forward together."
May your life begin to move forward, little by little, at your own pace.
With that wish in my heart, I will continue my journey.
Some people might think that "counseling has a high barrier to entry."
But in reality, it can be much more casual.
I would be happy if you remembered me when you think, "I'd like to talk a little bit." ☺️
