[First note] Self-introduction
Nice to meet you!
I am Izumi Sato, a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) living in San Diego and author of "Zentangle for Beginners."
I am active as the first Japanese Certified Zentangle Teacher.
I have been living in the United States for over 30 years...
Living near the ocean, I value the time I spend teaching and drawing Zentangle in a relaxed atmosphere.
In this note,
I will share the charm of Zentangle and the time spent calming the mind.

Self-introduction
Once again, I am Izumi Sato.
As the first Japanese Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT),
I have been sharing the joy and charm of Zentangle
for many years.
Zentangle is an art form that calms the mind.
On a small piece of paper called a tile,
you repeatedly draw patterns with a pen.
Even though it is just that,
while drawing,
there is a mysterious sensation where your mind suddenly becomes quiet.

My encounter with Zentangle
When I first learned about Zentangle,
I was surprised, thinking, "There is an art form like this."
There is no good or bad.
There is no right answer.
Just by moving the pen,
a piece of art is naturally created.
That time is so comfortable that,
before I knew it, I was absorbed in drawing.
Wanting to know more about Zentangle,
I obtained my Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) qualification in 2011.
Since then,
I have been sharing the joy of Zentangle
through online lessons and workshops.

Why I am sharing this
Zentangle is an art form where you enjoy the "time spent drawing" itself,
rather than whether it is good or bad.
In our busy daily lives,
if you have even a little time to hold a pen,
it helps calm your feelings and organize your thoughts.
When I am drawing,
my consciousness naturally returns to the "here and now."
I hope that many people
will be able to experience such moments.
I would like people like this to read this
In this note,
・Those who are interested in Zentangle
・Those who don't have a knack for drawing but want to try drawing something
・Those who want to cherish quiet time
For such people,
I will deliver the charm of Zentangle
and tips for calming your mind.
I hope you can feel the joy of Zentangle along with the relaxed time in San Diego.
Keep Creating Joy!
Izumi Sato
