The kinder you are, the less you notice you're holding back
When I look at people's palms,
I sometimes think to myself.
The kinder a person is,
the less they realize they are holding back.
They themselves,
don't even intend to be holding back.
After all,
it has become their normal.
Family matters.
Work matters.
Friends.
The people around them.
Before they know it,
they are always putting themselves last.
But they,
just smile and say,
"Isn't everyone like that?"
Truly kind people,
are very good at putting themselves last.
That is why,
they don't notice when they are struggling.
They don't notice when they are tired.
They don't notice when they are sad.
By the time they do notice,
their mind and body have often been pushing themselves way too hard.
When I look at palms,
I sometimes encounter such hands.
Of course,
you can't tell everything just from palm reading.
But,
when I listen to their stories,
it is exactly as I thought.
"I'm fine."
The people who say that,
are often not fine at all.
"I'm okay."
The people who say that,
are often carrying a lot.
It is not because they are weak.
It is because they are kind.
Because they can keep going.
Because they understand how others feel.
That is why they end up,
prioritizing others over themselves.
I was like that too.
Why only me?
I have thought that before.
But after that,
I would end up thinking about the other person's circumstances.
They must be having a hard time too.
They probably didn't mean any harm.
While thinking like that,
I would even lose the ability to get angry.
Understanding,
and holding back are different things.
Recently,
I have finally been able to think that way.
It is okay to understand the other person.
But,
you don't have to hold back your own feelings.
If you are sad,
it is okay to be sad.
If you are angry,
it is okay to be angry.
First of all,
you need to notice your own feelings.
I think that is also important.
Every time I read a palm,
I think to myself.
While it looks like I am looking at lines,
I am actually looking at how hard that person has been working.
So, if there is anyone,
who feels like things have been tough lately,
please try to stop for just a moment.
Just as much as you work hard for someone else,
please cherish yourself as well.
You worked hard today,
too.
So,
that is enough for today.🌿
