According to my nephew, there's a campaign going on 😆
I have three nephews.
Each of them is a prankster, and they always make me laugh.
I have a habit of giving people nicknames right away, and these three each have unique ones too.
The oldest is 'Daniel',
the second is 'Bomaye',
and the third is 'Campos'.
This morning, before heading to his club activity, Campos came over to my house and looked at me with a smirk.
I jokingly said, 'You're creeping me out, stop smirking,'
and Campos, still smirking, said this to me.
Campos: 'Uncle, check out the sign stored in the shed downstairs.'
With a huge grin on his face, he said that and then hurried off to school.
Thinking he must have set something up again, I went to the shed and pulled the cloth off the sign stored inside, and...

It's ridiculously cheap lol
It was such a good deal that I couldn't help but do a double-take at the sign lol
What is this, 5 yen for 60 minutes? lol
Not only that, but the fee for core training is actually negative lol
This means I'll end up paying 5 yen to anyone who comes in lol
I want to receive all of these menu items myself lol
Even if you get the full menu, you only have to pay 1 yen 😄
*Currently, all treatments include pelvic correction.
And so, Campos's prank made me laugh once again lol
Since there is a campaign going on right now, it seems like it's the perfect chance 😆
The origin of Campos's nickname goes back to one day when we were playing soccer together at the park.
He caught the ball I kicked with ease.
Wait, could it be?
There is a high net set up in the park for baseball boys to practice batting, so I had Campos stand in front of that net and act as the goalkeeper.
As expected, his catching was excellent.
Even though he was still small, he would jump high and catch every single ball I kicked.
He was just like the goalkeeper known as the little giant of Mexico, Jorge Campos‼️
And that is how he ended up with the nickname Campos lol

But my nephews really are pranksters ☺️
My second nephew, Bomaye, has grown up so much now that he's taller than me.
When Bomaye was little, he used to sleep with me in my futon often.
One day, Bomaye said:
Bomaye: "Can I sleep in your room today, Uncle?"
Me: "That's fine, but I'll be home late tonight."
Bomaye: "That's totally fine, I'll be playing games."
Me: "Alrighty."
When I finished work and got home, Bomaye was already asleep.
But as expected, he's a mischievous one.

Why are you sleeping sideways? lol
The pillow is completely useless lol
Is this harassment against me, who is exhausted and worn out? lol
But his cuteness blew my fatigue away, so I decided to sleep on the sofa in the next room.
When I woke up the next morning and went to check on him, Bomaye was sleeping vertically as usual lol
It seems Bomaye had no idea that he had spun around like the hands of a clock in the middle of the night lol
He has such bad sleeping habits that he once used my face as a pillow while he slept, haha.
After that, Bomaye woke up and the futon became free, so I, being sleep-deprived, crawled into it.
I covered myself up to my face with the futon.
Then, suddenly, a shock and pain shot through my face.
Bomaye didn't realize I was sleeping and delivered a knee strike to my face, haha.
It was truly the moment I took a Bomaye 😆
What is a Bomaye?
A professional wrestling move where one takes a running start and delivers a knee strike.
It is a signature move of Japanese wrestler Shinsuke Nakamura, and it was renamed the "Kinshasa Knee Strike" when he transferred to the American wrestling organization WWE in 2016.
The name comes from the "Bomaye" part of Antonio Inoki's entrance theme, "Inoki Bomaye," which originates from the Lingala phrase "Boma ye" from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Translated into Japanese, it means "Kill him!" and is an Anglicized corruption of the phrase. This song was a gift from former world heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali, who fought Inoki in 1976, as a token of friendship, and it is said to originate from the cheers Ali received when he fought George Foreman in Kinshasa (Congo).
He has been called Bomaye since then, but from now on, I have to call Bomaye 'Kinshasa', haha.

But my nephews are such pranksters 😆
My oldest nephew, Daniel, is now old enough to share a drink with.

One day, Daniel and I were enjoying some drinks.
At the time, I was drinking a Jack Daniel's highball, and Daniel was drinking a cassis orange.
Daniel: 'Uncle, is that good?'
Me: 'It's good, want to try some?'
Daniel: 'Yeah.'
Daniel took a small sip and the next moment
'No way, it's gross'
he said, and handed the glass back.
After that, I went to the bathroom, and when I returned, Daniel's face looked like he was smiling a little.
There was a suspicious atmosphere in the air, but I didn't pay it any mind and drank my Jack Daniel's highball.
Me: "It's spicy, *cough cough* 💦"
I accidentally spat out my Jack Daniel's highball.
Daniel-san was laughing his head off next to me lol
It turned out Daniel-san had put shichimi chili pepper into my Jack Daniel's highball 😆
Me: "Honestly, I wonder who you take after, I'd love to see your parents' faces lol"
Daniel-san: "You see them all the time."
The silly conversation continued after that, and then
Me: "You little rascal, you've got quite the backtalk."
This time, it was Daniel-san who spat out his cassis orange lol
Daniel-san: "*Cough cough*, that's 'bite' (hagotae), not 'backtalk' (kuchigotae)!"
Alcohol is a magical drink that makes you laugh at even the silliest conversations 😆
We were drinking together while enjoying such silly banter.
However, this nephew's nickname, Daniel-san, didn't actually come from Jack Daniel's.
When he was little, Daniel-san and I often watched the movie The Karate Kid.
Daniel-san looked a bit like the main character, Daniel LaRusso, who appears in it lol
That's how he ended up being called Daniel-san lol
Even after that, the days continued where we would laugh together at their pranks whenever something happened.
I'm not sure if all three of them like their nicknames, but they laugh and say, "We've never been called by our real names by our uncle."
