The shadows stretch out, how far do they go?
Monochrome eyes, cloudy with a chance of rain
The darkening sky remains unstained, all alone
Far away, a star moves, wavering, a sign of confusion


A prayer to the planet
A wish to the planet
May you shine brightly until the very end
Even if hidden by clouds and out of sight
Even if blurred by the city's glitter
I hold that single trajectory dear
As if escaping from sorrow
As if swimming freely
That trajectory I, too, shall follow


The planet is reflected in my eyes, and in yours
