[Poem] Cold You Bite Into Soft-Serve Ice Cream | | | #KazemakaseLiteratureClub "Soft-Serve Ice Cream"
What are you reading?
My voice freezes over
Always cold
That girl by the window
In a classroom burning with youth
Staring off toward the horizon
An invisible line stands out in relief
An Arctic circle in just one corner
Damp, pointed black hair tips
A glimmer of light spills down
That moment is a sweltering walk home
One person and another by chance
Witnessing
A bench in the shade of a tree
Held by you, eyes sparkling
A vanilla-flavored soft-serve ice cream
Chomp
Chomp
So you were someone who bites into soft-serve
Chomp
Chomp
Beautiful tooth marks like a flower
Chomp
Chomp
Because you roughly tear through the cone
White drops drip onto your hand
Slurp
You laughed to yourself and licked it off
Our eyes met
A lightning strike worth a hundred summers
I hurriedly turned my back
And started pedaling my bike
The sky is a clear blue
Surely not a sweet cumulonimbus cloud
Swelling up from the inside
Summer is passing by
