Day 16 Sunny Spot | Rain Falls Where the Sunlight Filters Through
One day, I went out for a walk.
There was no forecast for rain, but a light drizzle began to fall.
I took shelter from it under the shade of a tree.
Water droplets slipping through the leaves began to dampen the ground.
That was when I realized.
As long as you are in the outside world, rain falls even where the sunlight filters through.
At first, that seemed like a very harsh reality.
It felt as if I had been told that warmth exists right next to loneliness.
But in truth, it is okay to love the rain, too.
It is okay to accept even getting wet as if it were a blessing.
I went outside wanting to find a sunny spot, but that is not the entirety of joy.
Winter is coming soon.
For years, I have felt down during the season when the sun becomes a little less reliable, but this time, I am sure I can love and accept what falls upon me in my own way.
I am participating in Riri Kiki's project!
