Nagoya Trip | Please take a look at all the delicious food!
I went on a three-day, two-night trip to Nagoya, and... the food was just too delicious!!!
Thanks to mutuals on note and Discord who recommended various shops to me, I ate a total of 11 meals, including snacks. I'm so grateful.
There were so many delicious things that I wanted to write an article just about the food, so I put this together!
Kishimen (Kishimen Miya)
A chain store with a branch inside Atsuta Jingu Shrine. It's located right after you enter the West Gate. There was a line, but the turnover was fast and I was able to sit down right away!

The red sea bream tempura and oboro kombu are special toppings exclusive to the Daikichi-men.

Please try it if you're ever in the area...!

Yonaki Soba (Dormy Inn PREMIUM Nagoya Sakae)
Yonaki Soba is a complimentary late-night snack served at Dormy Inn hotels. Actually, I had only ever eaten the instant cup version, so eating it in a bowl was one of my goals for this trip. The portion is a full meal. But the soy sauce-based broth is so savory that you can slurp it right up!

Hitsumabushi, Doteni, Kishimen (Dormy Inn PREMIUM Nagoya Sakae)
Because I could eat all the Nagoya specialties at the hotel breakfast, I was able to eat other things for lunch and dinner. I'm so thankful. You can have the staff serve you the hitsumabushi and kishimen.

until it's sweet and savory! Apparently.

Shark Steak (Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium Alibada)
When you come to an aquarium, you want to eat the aquarium menu! So, I had the mako shark steak. It tastes like white fish, but it was seasoned on the salty side, which went great with the bread and vegetables. The crocodile confit was sold out, so I'd love to try that someday.

You can also eat plenty of grilled vegetables.
Sugakiya Ramen (JETTY)
This was the hidden highlight of the trip!! I love Sugakiya ramen, but I've never been to a real store... My dream came true on this trip! I ate it at the food court 'JETTY' next to the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium.

Such a great deal.

I used this to enjoy every last drop of the soup.
Curry Udon (Wakashachiya)
I went here after a mutual follower told me about it!
Even though it was my fourth meal of the day, I added fried mochi and fried eggplant as toppings (lol). It was so delicious... The mochi and eggplant soaked in the curry udon broth were so juicy!! The udon noodles were also easy to eat and just slid right down!

Miso Nikomi Udon (Yamamotoya)
I went here after a mutual follower told me about this place too, and thank you for warning me in advance that the noodles are firm!! I thought there was no way I could finish it all, so I declined the lunch rice (lol). The texture of the noodles is truly incredible. Even though they're stewed!? But it was so delicious♡

The tamari soy sauce and wasabi were the best♡
Fried Shrimp Sandwich (Konparu)
This is another shop that a mutual friend recommended to me! It's a toast sandwich filled with three shrimp-packed fried shrimp. The seasoning, a mix of tartar sauce and aurora sauce, was exquisite!

Will I actually be able to make it well?
I wonder if I poured the milk a little too early!?

Just looking back at the photos makes me feel full and happy.
After returning home, I gained 2 kilos in 3 days! (lol)
I'm surprised myself that I could physically eat this much... Around last September, when I was feeling unwell, I couldn't eat much at all, and a member of the same membership even gave me advice like, 'You'll feel less down if you use a smaller rice bowl,' but...
This was my final trip of my unemployment period after getting healthy, so it felt like a culmination of many things. (I walked a ton, combined it with a manuscript writing retreat, and reunited with the animal that has been supporting me since 2018)
I'd like to write articles about my sightseeing records eventually, so I'd be happy if you'd check back later.
