Only good things happen every day. The same goes for you.
Are you going to bed thinking, 'Today was just like yesterday...'? You feel that your unchanging daily life is boring. It seems quite a few people feel that way. Could that be you, too?
You wake up at the same time, commute at the same time, and go home and sleep at the same time. Certainly, if you look at it that way, it might seem like nothing changes.
However, in reality, it is impossible for yesterday and today to be exactly the same. Even if you are traveling, the scenery might not change, but the weather, the people you pass, and the cars are not the same.
If you observe carefully, things that didn't happen yesterday are happening today. That's obvious, right? But you don't notice them. Or rather, humans are built so that their consciousness doesn't go to those things one by one.
Humans are built to perform most actions through 'habit.' We operate in a low-power mode so as not to waste brain resources.
Because we are always operating in low-power mode, we can't notice the changes in our daily lives. But that said, if we were always running at full capacity, we would get exhausted.
So, why not consciously do one thing different from usual each day? The trick here is to try to be conscious of something you can consider 'good,' even if it's something trivial.
Like 'The person sitting next to me on the train was super beautiful!' or 'I made eye contact with the handsome clerk at the convenience store,' try to find something as trivial as 'So what? (lol)' and label it as something good that happened.
You might think this is silly, but it actually makes you feel pretty good. Moreover, if you can keep it up every day, 365 good things will pile up in a year.
And, you will also notice that different good things are happening every day. Yes, different good things are happening today compared to yesterday. Good things are definitely happening; you just weren't conscious of them because you were in low-power mode.
You don't need to put so much effort into 'looking for good things.' Just label one thing a day that made you feel good. You don't even have to write it down in a diary; just labeling it in your head is enough.
By continuing to do this, my days have become more enjoyable. Once you get used to it, your antenna becomes more sensitive to what might happen today. Oh, by the way, I found 100 yen today (lol).
I especially want those who feel busy and chased by their daily lives to try this. You will realize that your daily life is more varied and happier than you think.
You will realize that your life isn't so bad after all. Please give it a try. Oh, and for you who read this, something good just happened (lol) ← (Don't say that yourself, haha).
