Lately, I've been wondering about replacing my tires. Every time I go for a car inspection, I'm told,It might be time to replace them soon.

Being the lazy person I am, I always leave it to the dealer.
It might be a bit more expensive, but I was grateful for their specialized skills, reliability, and the one-stop service... or so I thought. Until yesterday!

I decided that for once, I would properly compare how much the prices actually differ.

And then,the difference was way more than just a few percentage points!

The assumption that it's only 10-20% more expensive at most

Many people probably know that getting your car fixed at a dealer is a bit pricey. I felt the same way,thinking, 'Well, even so, it's probably only 10 or 20% more expensive.'

Perhaps that was true in some respects, buttires seem to be a different story.

Even though they are super cheap, they are from a famous domestic brand, so they are trustworthy.

My thoughts:
It's a light car, so this is super cheap, but that's about right for a low price.
So, at the dealer, it might go up to 5,000 or 6,000 yen?

Thinking that, I called the car dealer.

And then, surprisingly

It will be 11,000 yen per tire including the discount (Car dealer representative)

That was the answer I got over the phone from the car dealer representative.

My inner voice:
Wait??? What is that, HUH????

Moreover, by chance,they recommended the exact same tire from the same manufacturer with the same model number. I was speechless.
