I make it a habit to write mine secretly every day while soaking in the bathtub 🛀
The reason is to make good use of the time I spend in the hot water to boost my metabolism. Also, since I'm writing these notes without my husband knowing, I write them so he won't find out 🫨

I went to Hello Work 🚶➡️
Now, I, Irobi, am a NEET (job seeker) visiting Hello Work to receive unemployment benefits.
Today was my first "certification day."
Since I started the procedures in June, I thought I would receive my benefits today, but it was my misunderstanding; it seems I have a one-month waiting period starting from today... 😢
I resigned at the end of March, and my first benefit payment will be in August... 🥹 I got a late start, but I didn't think it would take this long... lol

My first job consultation at Hello Work. I made a big personal discovery there...! It was "vocational training."
What is vocational training?
While I was there for the certification process, I went for a job consultation and asked various questions about the "vocational training" system I had been curious about for a while. (I'm sure there's a more official name, but please let me call it vocational training for simplicity.)
Based on the knowledge I gained, here is an overview of vocational training, along with its pros and cons (there might be some misinterpretations).
○ Overview
・Like a vocational school that teaches skills useful for re-employment
・Tuition is basically free (except for textbooks and exam fees)
・I am eligible for 90 days of unemployment benefits (in my case), but if I meet certain conditions for vocational training, I can continue to receive them beyond the 90 days until the training ends
○ Pros
・The period for receiving benefits is extended
・You acquire skills
・There are courses in fields I want to challenge myself in
○ Cons
・You are tied up for 6 hours on weekdays
・There is a concern that if it turns out not to be a good fit, you can't quit halfway through and will waste your time
・There is a possibility that job opportunities in the field you studied might not meet your expectations
Hmm. I think the pros outweigh the cons, but I wonder what it's actually like.
By the way, the field I want to challenge myself in is the "Web Design Course." I can learn Illustrator and Photoshop, and earn certifications related to Web design.
In the future, I'd like to get a job where I can use those skills plus my own creativity. If possible, I'd like to connect it to my own original site or blog. That's what I'm thinking. (It's just between us, but I also have the simple-minded idea that since my husband is a frequent transferee, I might be able to work from home 🤫)
But however
When I consulted an acquaintance who is a calm, future-proof, and analysis-savvy person, I received the valuable advice to thoroughly research the future prospects and demand for the "Web designer" profession itself.
Especially with the recent evolution of AI, it's an era where AI can create simple designs, text, and programming, which are also part of a designer's job.
Indeed, the sense of my partner Chappy (no, not my husband) also produces wonderful work, as expected.
