I'm not a klutz! It's Mercury retrograde's fault
There are times when you can make yourself feel a little better by blaming your clumsiness on something else.
That is "Mercury retrograde."
The other day, I accidentally sent a LINE message to the wrong person.
I deleted it immediately, but my heart skipped a beat.
"...Is this Mercury retrograde?"
When I looked it up, it was perfectly within the retrograde period. It's not my fault anymore. It's Mercury's fault. The end.
Come to think of it, in April 2025, there was a large-scale failure of the ETC system.
It was the one where 106 toll gates across 8 prefectures stopped, and it took nearly 38 hours to recover.
I saw voices on social media saying "It's Mercury retrograde," and I couldn't help but laugh. It even drags infrastructure into it?
Mercury governs communication, travel, contracts, and information processing. It is said that these areas are prone to being chaotic during the retrograde period.
Mistaken messages, misunderstandings, he-said-she-said problems... doesn't that ring a bell?
Of course, it's not right to blame everything on the stars, but being able to land on "Ah, it's Mercury retrograde" makes breathing a little easier.
If you're going to wear yourself out by blaming yourself for being careless, it might be okay to entrust that burden to the movements of celestial bodies in the distant universe for a little while.
Using things you can't see to your advantage is also a way to live happily. Lol
I think that's not running away, but one of the survival strategies for living a cheerful life in this complex world.
Let's use Mercury retrograde as an excuse to be a little kinder to ourselves.
The retrograde will definitely end, and Mercury will move forward properly again.
Any clumsiness at that timing is the real deal. Lol
