Traveling Abroad Without Drinking Alcohol Is Great
I wake up at 6 a.m., take a walk through the city, eat a donut from a street stall with a coffee in hand, then get a good workout at the gym, return to my room, and make breakfast.
I arrange the fruits and vegetables I bought at the local market, enjoy plating them, and eat heartily from the morning.

Even after doing all this, it's still just past 8 a.m.
During the day, I walk nearly 20,000 steps sightseeing and shopping, and if my child invites me, I swim with them in the pool. If we go to the beach, I keep adding more marine activity options.
I move around from morning till night, and when night comes, I fall asleep as if my battery has run out. Then, I sleep soundly for about 7 hours and wake up feeling refreshed the next morning.
Staying in Cebu for 9 days this time, I thought that traveling abroad without drinking alcohol is quite good.
As some people take bullet trips with packed schedules on short trips, it is important to be able to experience many things within a limited time without overdoing it.
If it's a trip of several months, maybe you don't need to be that pressed for time. Still, it is a waste to spend the morning sleeping because of the alcohol you drank the night before.
A day spent abroad is different from a normal weekend. There are things you can only see in that land, and people you can only meet there.
Being able to use that time from the morning was a good point of a trip without drinking.
What surprised me most was that I felt good for all 9 days. I had no lethargy from lack of sleep, no headaches, and no stomachaches. When I go abroad, I sometimes get sick due to travel fatigue, food, or changes in climate.
This time, I was able to keep moving until the very end, feeling like I did when I was in high school.
Not only my physical condition, but my mood never dropped either.
There was never a moment where I felt tired, bored, or just done for the day. Since I kept speaking English in a high-spirited state from the morning, my conversations with the locals and coordinators were lively the whole time.
I think it's fun to drink alcohol, get cheerful, and talk more than usual.
However, this time, I was able to spend my time in a good mood from morning till night without drinking. You can talk, move, and play with people all day, not just for the few hours you are drunk. Moreover, there is no backlash the next day.
The time available for fun has also increased. This way of spending time is also quite suitable when traveling with children.
For example, meals. When you eat while drinking alcohol, you inevitably want to spend time slowly. However, a long dinner is boring for a child. Conversely, if you finish early to accommodate the child, adults might feel a little unsatisfied.
This time, I ate at the same pace as the child and enjoyed the same food. After we finished eating, we all went to buy fruit juice or sweets.
Instead of staying at the dinner table for a long time, I enjoyed including post-dinner walks and shopping. I feel that this way of spending time was just right for this trip.
One day, I saw tourists at the hotel buying a large amount of beer and heading back to their rooms. Spending time relaxing in the room while drinking cold beer is one way to enjoy traveling abroad.
However, while watching that, I thought that I have a different way of enjoying myself.
Since I don't get drunk and lose my judgment, I feel safer in terms of security and safety management. Especially when traveling abroad with children, I think it is better to be in a state where you can move immediately if something happens.
There was almost nothing I lost by not drinking alcohol on this trip.
Instead, the time I spent happily with my children increased. The time spent talking to local people and the time spent trying out new things at the destination also increased.
Traveling abroad without drinking alcohol is great.
During these nine days, that is what I thought.
But the local beer did look delicious...
