The limitations of 'Google Forms booking'. I will reveal the system that succeeded in 'automation' by linking MyASP with calendars, winning an award for 4 consecutive years.

Isn't this amazing! Last Friday, I attended the '4976 Festival', a celebration for 'MyASP', the marketing tool I always rely on.

The system that won was born from 'field challenges'

This time, what I entered was a 'booking management method that links MyASP with Google Calendar'.

Actually, this originally started from a desperate request from a client I help with web-related matters: 'I want to create a booking system!'

After all, rather than thinking at a desk, the 'troubles' in the field are the best source of ideas, aren't they?

The 'battle against errors' that was the limit of Google Forms

That said, it wasn't perfect from the start. Initially, I handled it using the convenient 'Google Forms'.

But this was quite tricky... Honestly, errors and troubles like 'booking registration not working well' or 'complicated cancellation processing' occurred quite often.

This won't do, I thought. Repeating the same work (error handling) is just too inefficient.

So, I decided, 'I have to build a system from the ground up'.

What I did immediately was to stop using Google Forms and modify it so that it could be completed with MyASP's standard forms.

Furthermore,

• Automation of troublesome 'cancellation handling'

• A feature that 'automatically adds appointments' to the booker's Google Calendar

• A feature that allows 'multiple settings' for calendars to be referenced (previously it was only one)

Like this, I kept adding features needed in the field. After all, tools are only worth it if you use them and improve them.

I am releasing this 'know-how' as a 'manual'.
