When you share an article on social media, an image will now be displayed automatically even if you don't have a header image!
When you share an article without a header image on social media like Twitter or Facebook, we have made it so that an image is automatically generated from information such as the article title and creator name!
This makes it easier for your post to catch people's eyes on social media, increasing the likelihood that more people will read your article.

No matter how confident you are in the content of your article, if there is only information like the article title and URL, it will get buried in social media timelines and is unlikely to catch anyone's eye. That is a bit of a waste, isn't it?
We made this improvement because we want you to feel more comfortable sharing note articles on social media, and we want the articles you share to be read by many people!
When there is an image on the timeline, it naturally catches the reader's eye, and they might feel like, "Maybe I'll click on this." Having more visual information should make it more appealing.
Responding to the feedback that "making header images is hard"
Besides "making it easier for readers to read your articles," this improvement also has benefits for all you creators.
The people who write and share many articles are actually the ones who secretly worry about header images. You know that "adding a header image will get more people to read it," but you don't have that much time to create one. For those who have been sharing articles without header images until now, this improvement where a share image is automatically generated is like magic, isn't it?
However, for now, header images are only automatically generated when shared on social media.
Unfortunately, they are not automatically generated when posting to note. When you want to choose a header image that fits your article, we recommend using "Minna no Photo Gallery", and when you want to create one easily, we recommend using "Canva".

For those of you who have articles where you are "confident in the content, but don't have a header image," please try sharing them right after you write them!

In the future, if there is a lot of demand from everyone, we are considering a feature that would allow the image used for social media sharing to also be used as the header image. Please send any improvements or requests regarding image-related features, including this one, to the note Improvement Suggestion Box.
