Summary of December and January improvements. iPad support, easy header image creation, launch of the 'Learn note' page, and more
At note, the improvement team works daily on updates to make note a more user-friendly place. This time, we are summarizing the improvements made in December 2020 and January 2021.
・・・
1) Making how to use note easier to understand
■The PC version of note has a new timeline design, making it easier to view a list of articles
The design has changed from one where articles flow from top to bottom to one where articles are aligned, allowing you to select from many articles at a glance. By increasing the visibility of the screen, it is now easier to follow new articles.

■If you're not sure how to use note, come here! We have launched a page that compiles official content for learning about note
The 'Learn note' page compiles tips and hints for operating note, as well as reference examples. You can learn not only through articles but also through your preferred methods, such as online study sessions and YouTube videos.

■We have published articles summarizing note's features and how to use them
We have compiled introductions, usage instructions, and case studies for note's magazine feature, themes/contests, and circle feature. You can access each of these from 'Recruiting,' 'Circles,' and 'Magazines' at the top of the note home screen.
■ Icons now appear next to notifications
When you receive various notifications from note, such as 'Follows' or 'Likes,' the creator's icon is now also displayed. It makes it easier to see whose reaction it is.

2) Making creation more fun and convenient
■Anyone can now easily create header images for note
As of December 2025, all Canva integration for image creation on note has ended. For details, please check the help page.
We have provided a button to create header images in collaboration with the graphic design platform 'Canva.' Because you can design intuitively, you will be able to easily create wonderful header images.
On Tuesday, February 2nd at 1:00 PM, we will hold a note x Canva event titled 'How to create easy and fun header images'! We will talk about how to create header images using Canva and design tips. You can sign up from this page.

■We have increased the functions available from the share button, such as copying article links and 'Write on note'
We have organized the share icons at the bottom of the article screen and added more functions. In addition to SNS sharing, it is now possible to copy article links, allowing for a wider range of sharing. If you find a wonderful note, please feel free to share it!

■ 'Write on note' has been added to quote sharing.
The feature to quote and share a part of a post now includes a 'Write on note' option in addition to Twitter, Facebook, and LINE. If someone's post leaves an impression on you, you can reach more people by sharing it on note.

■You can now embed Facebook posts into note
You can now embed your own or other people's Facebook posts into note. Please use this to quote other people's posts or to summarize your own posts.

■ Topics are now displayed by category
The topics currently being held, found in the "Accepting Submissions" tab, are now displayed by categories such as "Lifestyle," "Creative," and "Business." You can easily find topics you want to write about.

3) Making it easier to use on smartphones and tablets
■The note app now supports iPad
The scope of creation on iPad has expanded significantly, allowing you to drag your favorite images from the Photos app to the post screen using Split View, or drag articles from your article list to quote them.

■ We have updated the iOS app to make it easier to use
We have made the following changes.
- Added a "Recently Viewed" screen. This is useful when you want to find articles you read recently.
- You can now download files attached within articles.
- You can now search for text within articles.
- You can now quote and write articles using the button in the top right of an article.
- You can now configure email notifications, not just push notifications, from the app.
- The screen design for audio articles has been completely revamped, making it easier to check even in draft status and easier to edit.
- You can now turn your favorite articles into images to share on Instagram Stories.
We will continue to make improvements so that you can enjoy the fun experience of note on the app as well.
