Benefits for creators and readers
Because creators can sell paid articles at a discounted price using the time sale feature, there is a higher possibility that more readers than usual will read their articles. Additionally, articles at special prices can lead to new readers, help increase your fan base, and make it easier to reach people with content other than the articles on sale.
*The time sale feature can only be used for "paid (one-time) text articles."
Readers can read paid articles at a better value than usual. This is a chance to purchase paid articles from creators you have been interested in!
Examples of how creators can use this
Sell articles at a special price for only a few days after publication, allowing readers who purchase early to read them at a discount.
Hold a time sale during seasons when demand for articles is high, such as for "hidden autumn foliage spots" or "how to make Osechi dishes."
Lower the price of an article when you are receiving attention on social media or other platforms.
Discount previously published articles to create an opportunity to re-announce them on social media.
How to use
How to set up the time sale feature (for creators)
On the article publication settings screen, select [ Paid ] and check the box for [ Time Sale ].
Enter the discounted price (you can offer a discount of at least 100 yen and up to 90% off), set the start and end date/time for the time sale, and then publish the article.
*At this time, time sale settings can only be configured via the browser version and Android app. In the iOS app, you can only view the settings status.
A special page for time sale articles will be released in early September!
We plan to release a special page in early September that introduces articles being sold via time sale.
If you use the time sale feature to sell articles before then, they may be featured on the special page.
Please take this opportunity to set it up!
How to purchase time sale articles (for readers)
Articles with a "Sale" mark under the article title are those to which the "time sale feature" has been applied. By purchasing during the specified period, readers can buy the articles at a discount.
*In the article list, it will be displayed as "Discount available."
Open the article you want to purchase and select [ Proceed to purchase ].
2. The purchase confirmation screen will also display that the article is being discounted due to the time sale. Select your payment method and proceed to purchase to complete the process.
