Starting automatic multilingual support with approximately 20,000 articles

At note, we are advancing an "automatic multilingual support" initiative that allows articles written in Japanese to be delivered directly to readers around the world.

Thank you very much for the many applications for early access. Starting today, we will begin rolling out multilingual support sequentially for the creators who applied.

How will your content reach people across language barriers? While we gauge the response, we will first proceed with multilingualization for a total of approximately 20,000 articles.

About this initiative

Targeted at early access applicants
We will begin support sequentially starting with the articles of creators who applied in advance.

Up to 100 articles per creator
To allow more creators to experience this, the number of eligible articles is limited to a maximum of 100 per creator.

Starting with English
We are starting with English and plan to expand to other languages in the future.

Verifying with approximately 20,000 articles
We will use this to inform future improvements by observing translation accuracy, how the content is read, and reactions from overseas.

Future outlook

Based on the insights gained from this early release, we will consider expanding the target articles and supported languages.

At the same time, as we prepare for more creators to use this service in the future, we are also working on information regarding terms of service and settings that will allow you to turn multilingual support on or off for your account or for individual articles. We will provide more details later.

To the creators who applied

Among the articles by those who applied in advance via the early access application form, we are providing multilingual support primarily for articles with a high number of "likes".

How to check articles with many "likes"

1. Access the Dashboard from the settings screen and select "All Time".

2. By default, it is sorted by "View" count.

3. Click "Likes" to sort by the number of likes.

How to check if an article is eligible

If you add "?hl=en" to the end of an article URL, the English version will be displayed if the article is eligible. If it is not eligible, it will be displayed in Japanese as usual.
