A chance to have your article read on a special J-WAVE radio program. We are accepting submissions for the theme project "#MeAndTokyo".
When you hear the word Tokyo, are there things that suddenly come to mind or memories that surface? It is likely that many people, not just those living in Tokyo, have had some connection to the city through travel, work, or other experiences.
We are inviting you to share the stories of Tokyo that live in your hearts, in a collaboration between the radio station J-WAVE (81.3FM) and note, under the theme "#MeAndTokyo".
From the submissions received, J-WAVE representatives will select several pieces. The selected works are scheduled to be read during a special program linked to J-WAVE's spring campaign, "MY STORY TOKYO -The Reason We Are Here-," which is set to air on Tuesday, May 5 (National Holiday). This is a chance for your story to reach even more people.
Please tell us about your small daily occurrences, episodes that became turning points in your life, stories about why you chose Tokyo as a place to work or live, unforgettable experiences you saw, heard, or felt in Tokyo, or the thoughts you have about the city.
Submission Overview
◾️ Theme and Format
We are waiting for text-based submissions under the theme "#MeAndTokyo". Please feel free to write in any format, such as essays, short stories, poems, or diary entries.
Selected works from the submissions will be read on the J-WAVE "MY STORY TOKYO" special program.
* Since this project is based on the premise of reading on a J-WAVE special program, works in image, manga, or illustration formats are not eligible.
* J-WAVE is an FM radio station broadcasting in Tokyo and six surrounding prefectures. You can listen to the program from anywhere in the country by using "radiko," which allows you to listen to the radio via computer or smartphone. (Fees apply for areas outside the broadcast region.)

Results Announcement: Scheduled for May 5, 2026 (Tue/Holiday)
* The results will be announced during the J-WAVE radio special. Those whose works are selected for reading will be contacted in advance by a J-WAVE representative to confirm details regarding the reading. Following this, the results announcement article will be published on note.

・You can also apply by adding this project's hashtag to an article you posted in the past.
・One person may submit multiple works.
Regarding the Use of Submitted Content
Regardless of the selection results, submitted content may be introduced on note, J-WAVE's official social media, or within J-WAVE programs. Please note that for readings on the program, content may be excerpted or adjusted in length.
If your work is to be introduced on a J-WAVE program, a J-WAVE representative will contact you in advance.

There is a lifelong friend I met a year ago.

There are many people, and the rent is high. Prices keep rising, and life is by no means easy.
Even so, we are drawn to this place, "Tokyo".
Stories about our individual Tokyos.
Surely, that is where the reason we are here lies.

■ About judging and selected works
・We cannot respond to inquiries regarding judging criteria.
・If a selected work or the creator themselves violates the Terms of Service, the selection will be revoked even after the judging process.
・Announcement of selected works will be made via email to the selected individuals, the broadcast of the J-WAVE special radio program, and the results announcement article.
・Handling of personal information will follow our Privacy Policy.
・No performance fees, royalties, etc., will be paid for readings on the "MY STORY TOKYO" special program.
