When researching something or wanting to learn about someone, we have more opportunities to see answers summarized by AI. When AI generates answers, the profiles of creators like you can sometimes serve as a source of information. It would be problematic if your background or activities were introduced in a way that differs from the facts.

note is the second most cited source for AI searches in Japan, following YouTube (according to Ahrefs, announced in July 2026). That is precisely why we believe it is important to maintain note so that it can provide accurate information to AI as a source for creator information.

note has made the public information on creator pages compatible with files that are easy for AI to read (llms.txt).The goal is to make it easier for your activities to be conveyed accurately and in line with the facts.

What is llms.txt?

It is, so to speak, a "site guide file for AI." It is a mechanism fororganizing page content to be easily readable by generative AI such as ChatGPT. Instead of reading unnecessary structures on standard HTML pages, it can access required information directly. This is expected to have the effect of suppressing the generation of content that differs from facts (hallucinations) and saving the amount of data (tokens) processed. It is not for training AI, but for ensuring that AI refers to information correctly when answering questions.

We recommend keeping your profile updated

This time, the scope of llms.txt support includes profiles and SNS links published on creator pages. Therefore,enriching the content you write in your profile will make it easier for both AI and readers to understand who you are.

For your profile,

  • a profile bio that explains what kind of activities you do in a single sentence

  • links to other SNS such as X or Instagram

we recommend keeping these two things updated.

If you do not want your information included in llms.txt

On note, we havea setting for creators who do not wish for their content to be used for AI training to indicate their intent. While AI training and AI referring to llms.txt are different mechanisms, if you turn this setting on (green), you will not be included in this llms.txt support. You can check or change this setting fromnote settings.
