LINE MUSIC and note are collaborating to hold the "#LetMeTalkAboutMyFavoriteArtistNow" submission contest!
Tuesday, January 7, 2020 The contest results have been announced.
LINE MUSIC, which shares various artist information and music news on note, is collaborating with note to hold a submission contest with the theme “#LetMeTalkAboutMyFavoriteArtistNow”.
Whether it's your overflowing passion for your favorite artist, memories of songs that defined your youth, or an introduction to an artist who isn't well-known yet but you want everyone to know about, and so on. We are looking for your passionate submissions.
Submissions can be in any format, including text, illustrations, manga, or videos. Please introduce your favorite artist in a way that is easiest for you to express.
When posting, please include the hashtag “#LetMeTalkAboutMyFavoriteArtistNow”. Grand prize winners will receive 10,000 LINE Points and the right to be a writer for the official LINE MUSIC note, and runner-up winners will receive 5,000 LINE Points.
For this contest, we have asked note creators Tomonori Shiba, Yui Kashima, Yu Okada, and Hamashaka to create sample works. The articles will be published sequentially. Please take a look and use them as a reference for your own submissions.

We are waiting for your note submissions on the theme “#LetMeTalkAboutMyFavoriteArtistNow”. Please feel free to write in any format, such as manga, essays, illustrations, or novels. The format does not matter. The level of popularity at the time of application will also be subject to judging.

Tomonori Shiba
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1976. Music journalist. After working at Rockin'on, he became independent and has been widely involved in interviews and article writing, focusing on music and subculture fields in magazines, on the web, and in other media. Major writing outlets include “AERA,” “Natalie,” “CINRA,” “MUSICA,” “Real Sound,” “Music Magazine,” and “Fujin Koron.” Currently serializing the column “Shiba Tomonori no Shin-Ongaku” in Nikkei MJ. Currently serializing the dialogue “Kokoro no Best Ten” with Nobuhiko Otani of Dainoji on CINRA. Author of “Hit no Hokai” (Kodansha) and “Hatsune Miku wa Naze Sekai o Kaeta no ka?” (Ohta Publishing), and co-author of “Shibuya Ongaku Zukan” (Ohta Publishing).

Emi Kusano
Born in Tokyo in 1990. Graduated from Keio University SFC. Alongside her work in production, writing, radio/TV MCing, and commercial appearances, she leads the synth-pop unit "Satellite Young." She handles vocals, songwriting, and concept work. Singing about modern internet society and the latest technology, such as artificial intelligence and online dating, set to reconstructed 80s sounds. Performed as Satellite Young at the world's largest music festival, SXSW 2017. Served as the 2018 image character for Santen Pharmaceutical's "Sante PC" and as an MC for BS Nippon's "SENSORS."

Sho Yamamoto
Lyricist, composer, arranger, and music producer. Began working professionally as a writer/producer in 2016. Born in Shizuoka Prefecture. Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Letters, Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies. Currently running "Logos Studio," a project on note that explores the art of songwriting.
