Panasonic and note are holding a submission contest with the theme "#HowMyAssumptionsChanged".
Things you once thought were common sense for you change due to someone else's actions or events. Opportunities to feel such shifts in values are increasing.
Even if the phrase "a society that respects diversity" doesn't quite resonate with you yet, haven't you had experiences in your daily life where "things that used to be normal are no longer so," rather than just societal values?
"It has to be this way," "This is how things are 'supposed' to be"... many people hold these unconscious values. Perhaps that way of thinking is narrowing your own or someone else's possibilities.
In this contest, we are looking for posts about noticing different perspectives or ways of thinking regarding your past "assumptions," or about how your concept of "common sense" has changed.
We hope that not only will you submit your own work, but that reading the submitted works will spark even more inspiration.

Submissions can be in any format, including text, illustrations, manga, or videos.
When posting, please include the hashtag " #HowMyAssumptionsChanged".
Reference Works
For this contest, we have asked AyumiFukuhara, £ (Pound), and Hirotada Ototake to create reference works. The articles will be published sequentially. Please take a look and use them as a reference for your own submissions.

■£ (Pound)
Manga artist. Began drawing manga about local culture and childcare experiences while living in the UK. After returning to Japan, continues to publish comic essays and original manga, primarily on social media. On note, has won awards in the "#TheRoomIRentedForTheFirstTime," "#AutumnReading2020," and "#TheFutureTownILiveIn" contests.
■Hirotada Ototake
Born in Tokyo in 1976. Due to congenital limb deficiency, has lived in an electric wheelchair since childhood. His book "No One's Perfect," written while in university, became a bestseller with over 6 million copies sold and has been translated overseas. After graduating from university, he worked as a sports writer and then dedicated himself to educational activities as an elementary school teacher. He is active as an opinion leader in the field of diversity in Japan, including serving as an MC for news programs.
■ AyumiFukuhara
Food designer / Spice and seasoning advisor / Medicinal food advisor. Delivers plant-based bento boxes through food catering service AYU-TABLE, providing dishes that use world spices and herbs, centered on seasonal ingredients.
Also handles event pop-ups, menu development for restaurants in Tokyo, and recipe development for companies.
As a mother of two, she also holds cooking classes to enjoy with children, driven by the desire to have them take an interest in their daily meals from a young age.
