After the Festival... ~Neighborhood Association Activities Part 21
How is everyone doing!?
I am always writing about various things, mainly focusing on reading.
↓↓↓
This time, it is the "Onko-chishin" (learning from the past) series.
・How to apply things that have existed for a long time (previously) to modern people without letting them become mere shells,
・How to rediscover the significance of the organization and enjoy it together with everyone,
I would like to introduce the
・Neighborhood association activities
・PTA activities
that I am working on with these as my own themes.
※Previously, I also wrote aboutclub activities (regional transition)but that transition has been completed.
This time, it is the neighborhood association activities edition!
The once-a-year big event has ended.
Summer Festival
Advance Preparation
Last time, I reported on how we brainstormed various ideas at the neighborhood children's association board meeting.
We decided to hold a bingo tournament, and we approached the day by dividing roles such as:
・Person in charge of prizes for 1st to 10th place
・Person in charge of 11th to 20th place
・Person preparing other participation prizes
To get into more detail, we also had to prepare things like:
・Preparing bingo cards,
・Bringing the bingo machine owned by the children's association,
・Setting up tents and booths on the day,
・Displaying the prizes,
・Considering the MC and operation methods
But thanks to everyone's teamwork, we reached the actual day without any issues!
The Actual Event
The opening was at 15:00.
It started smoothly without any particular opening remarks from the chairman, haha.
By then, we had gathered at 13:00 to set up the venue, prepare food and drinks, and get ready for the start.
And from just after 14:00, I was grilling yakitori like crazy!
By just after 16:00, I had finished grilling most of it and stored it in a warming cabinet.
We adopted a style of selling them as needed.
I think there were 600 skewers in total.
By the time it ended at 18:30, they were all sold out!
In parallel, at 15:30, I had a bakery that recently opened in the neighborhood bake salt bread and melon bread as participation prizes for the bingo.
25 of each, for a total of 50 participation prizes.
Since there were 20 prizes in total, we prepared prizes for 70 people in total.
The chairman and other key figures are also leaders in the local chamber of commerce, so they were very happy that this led to the promotion and expansion of local consumption!
In the end, about 50 children participated.
I was secretly nervous about whether there would be enough prizes, but I was relieved that there were.
The bingo tournament ended safely, and we distributed the leftover bread to the officers working at their respective stations.
The melon bread was very popular even with the adults, and it disappeared in an instant.
Everyone was happy to eat it.
In Conclusion (After the Festival)
After finishing distributing the bread, I took a short break, and then it was time to make french fries and fried chicken.
I continued the task of packing the products coming out of the fryer one after another into containers until the very end.
The biggest feature of this summer festival is that it is 'free for children'!
When we first started, there were people who would manipulate the children to secure things for themselves, but I think there were very few this time.
I feel that the purpose is gradually permeating.
It's no wonder, as another feature is that 'all adult items are 100 yen'!
Edamame ~In a cup about the size of a Haagen-Dazs
Yakisoba ~You can choose between large and small
French fries ~About the size of a McDonald's medium
Karaage ~Like Karaage-kun, about 5 or 6 pieces thrown into the same container as the fries
Yakitori ~It's a 3-skewer set, but you can declare how many you want!? Lol
And believe it or not,
Beer ~Maybe a 300ml cup? Asahi and Sapporo
One-cup sake
Canned highball
Of course, everything is 100 yen!!
Since it's cheap to begin with, there's no room for complaints, right? Lol
After 7 PM, we all did some cleaning up, covered the tents, and did the complete teardown starting at 8 AM the next morning.
Right now, that's finished, and I'm writing this article.
It rained a little during setup, but from the event itself through the cleanup, the weather was nice and it felt great♪
Well, finally, next time I'd like to write about my thoughts, or rather, my impressions after finishing the festival.
Now that it's over, it was a very fun time, so that's fine, but...
For today's header, I used materials from Anpan!
Thank you very much for reading again this time!
