You might be wondering, why Banshu when I'm based in Kyoto?
The answer is simple...

Because Banshu is where I was born and raised.
For me, Hyogo is close to Kyoto!
Miki, Ono, Kasai, Kakogawa, Akashi, Takasago, Kato, Inami...
I would be happy to travel to Banshu, Hyogo for your shoot!!

My roots are in the photos taken at my parents' home.
There is the beauty of the scenery I felt again after returning from living away, and simply, I love the environment where I was born and raised.

Locals often say, "It's just the countryside, there's nothing here."
My family says the same thing without fail.
That is because it is always there and taken for granted; the roads I walk every day and the familiar scenery are all charming.
Perhaps it is a goodness you only notice after time has passed or you have moved away.

My mentor, Mr. Hayashi of Hayashi Photo Works, does photography in his hometown.
Watching him, I have thought for a long time, "I want to take photos in my hometown of Kasai someday too."

Two years ago, I had Mr. Hayashi take family photos in my hometown.
The experience of seeing the scenery I always look at turned into photos through a photographer's eyes was very fresh, and my mother was overjoyed by the shoot that involved the whole family.
Even my husband, who is not good at being photographed, started saying, "I want to have photos taken at my parents' home too."

Also, last year, I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in my hometown, and I realized once again the warmth of shooting locally and the people who gather there.
Such experiences have been a major catalyst for me to consider photography in Banshu.

Photography that utilizes the family home and environment that nurtured me.
Because the "ordinary" of today will eventually change, I want to take photos together and have them remain as pictures. That is my wish.

It has been over two years since I kept saying, "I want to do it."
Last year, I finally did a coming-of-age furisode shoot in Kasai, where my parents' home is, combining a private lesson and a portfolio shoot.
On the day, it was raining so hard that I would have postponed it if it were a real booking...
But I remember feeling that I had taken a step forward, saying, "I want to take photos, I will take photos in my local Kasai."
Please let me introduce the photos I took another time!

↓ These are the photos of my roots.
They are nothing special, but they are also photos that can no longer be taken now.

I am writing mainly about photography in Banshu this time, but
I will, of course, continue my activities in Kyoto.
I intend to keep working hard so that I can continue to take and deliver photos.

Kyoto and Banshu, Hyogo
I would be happy if you could take a look at Imatol's new Coming-of-Age pre-shoot page.

Based in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Imatol provides on-location photography for newborns, shrine visits, Shichi-Go-San, coming-of-age pre-shoots, and family photos across Osaka, Hyogo, Shiga, and nationwide.
One of the benefits of on-location photography is that it can capture the usual atmosphere of your family.
Please leave both your ordinary days and your commemorative days to me♪
The data I deliver is not via download but on DVD, and I deliver the photos in mounts or albums, with the desire to leave them in a physical form for the future.
