"I want a ROSETTOGO 1P💕" I tried consulting an AI about my studio apartment
While looking at Instagram, I became interested in a sofa with a rounded shape.
That low, round, and slightly relaxed look
When I looked it up, it was a sofa called "Roset Togo" by Ligne Roset.
It was released in 1973, and even though it's been around for a long time, it doesn't look old at all, and it still looks cute even today.
At first, I just thought, "This is nice," but before I knew it, I was looking at the pictures over and over again.
I might want this in my room
This is how my furniture shopping journey began.
The one-seater TOGO that caught my eye

I feel like I could fit it in my studio apartment, and it would be absolutely perfect to watch movies or read books there on my days off.
But the moment I thought about buying it, I worried:
"Won't it be cramped if I put it in an 8-tatami mat room?"
"I already have a bed, will it be okay?"
Plus, it's not exactly a price I can pay on a whim. But I'm afraid of buying it just on impulse, so I'll try consulting an AI.
I just told the AI everything for now

I told the AI exactly what was on my mind.
・A woman in her 20s living alone
・The room is 8 tatami mats
・I want to put a 1P TOGO in it
・I like a natural and slightly pop-style room
・I don't want it to look cramped
・I also want to know what colors would suit it
It's a bit embarrassing to tell a store clerk everything all at once, but I can talk to an AI without worrying about it.
Then, it started making suggestions one after another, like:
"Keep the furniture low"
"Leave some empty space around the sofa"
"Use green or yellow as accents"
I didn't know it would think that far ahead.
This is kind of interestingEven though I had only thought about "wanting a cute room," my ideal room started to take shape little by little.
I tried visualizing a room with a TOGO

Next, I had the AI draw a room with a TOGO in it.
A pale beige rug, a round table, lighting, and houseplants. And there, a brightly colored TOGO.
Cute
It's just really cute
"Make it a bit brighter"
"Change the rug"
"Make it a bit more mature"
It doesn't get mad no matter how many times I ask.
Before I knew it, I was thinking:
"I want to change the curtains too"
"I want some lighting too"
"I want to make the rug cute too"
I was only looking for a TOGO, but the process of creating the room itself had become fun.
But I can't decide with just the AI.
In that case, I'll go see the real thing.
Let's go to an interior shop

I put the images created by the AI, photos of my room, and the floor plan all on my smartphone and went to an interior shop that displays the TOGO.
Oh, it's the real thingThe moment I saw it in person, I got a little excited, haha.
I touch it. I sit on it. I lean back into it. I stand up.
"It might not be as big as I thought"
"I like this fabric more than in the photos"
"The way it feels to sit on is a bit different from what I imagined"
And then I show my smartphone to the clerk.
"I made this room using AI, but would it work in my room?"
As I talked about the size of the room, the position of the bed, the color of the curtains, and how I usually spend my time, things I hadn't noticed with the AI started to become clear.
It's kind of interesting, like checking my answersAnd in the end—
I bought it that very day.
It started with "I want it"

At first, it was just "TOGO is cute."
That was all.
But while creating the room with AI, seeing the real thing, and talking to the clerk, I started to imagine a life where:
"I want to watch movies on this sofa"
"When I get home from work, I want to lounge here"
"I want to drink coffee here in the morning"
Furniture might be more than just objects once you reach this point.
Summary
I happened to find the Roset Togo on Instagram.
From there, I created a room with AI, thought about colors and layout, went to see the real thing, and actually bought it.
If there's a piece of furniture you're interested in, try placing it in your room with AI first.
Once your ideal starts to come into view, go to an interior shop to check your answers.
Consulting an AI made me look forward to going home
That kind of furniture shopping might be interesting from now on.
