Notice of Retirement

This is an announcement.
I have retired as an auditor for the Mutual Aid Association.

I have put an end to my 46-year and 3-month career.
From today, I will have "Sunday every day."
I am very much looking forward to seeing what kind of life awaits me.

I have lived a life without specific purposes, goals, or planning, so I do not know what will happen from here on out.

Regardless, I intend to enjoy this era where the future is uncertain.

Looking back on my life so far

In my life up to this point, there have only been three times when I made a decision based on my own initiative.

The first was university.
I thought I would just go to whichever university I was accepted into, but I decided on my first choice myself.
After watching the Sapporo Olympics on TV, I longed for the "Northern Land."

The second was employment.
Because I love mathematics and people, I chose the path of becoming a high school teacher.

The third was marriage.
I got married because I desperately wanted to be with the person I had fallen in love with.

Other than these three, everything else started because I was asked, ordered, or dragged into it.
Ultimately, I made the final judgment myself, but the starting point was not me.

I transferred to the Board of Education secretariat because I was dragged into it by a senior colleague, and I became a specially appointed professor, university president, and auditor for the Mutual Aid Association because I was asked.
Other transfers were because I was ordered.
My retirement is due to the expiration of my term.

I have not really lived a life where I set purposes or goals based on my own initiative and aimed for them.
But I am satisfied that it has been a reasonably pleasant life.

What shall I do with my life from now on?

I have no plans for the future.

From today, it will be what is called my second life.

However, I believe that in the 100-year life era, the life divisions of learning period, working period, and retirement period will no longer apply.

Therefore, I intend to enjoy my second life while pursuing both learning and work.
I intend to keep doing my best in a pleasant way so that I can continue to learn throughout my life and support some part of the world.

Job Recruitment

If there is any work that I might be able to do, please introduce it to me.
Even if it is a completely unknown job for me, I will take on the challenge and do my best.
As long as I have the energy and physical strength, I want to enjoy taking on challenges in unknown worlds.

As long as I am alive, I intend not to lose my energy or physical strength.
I believe that is the pride of a living organism resisting the increase of entropy.

Furthermore, I will decline any work introduced by people I do not know.
Recently, fraud has been rampant, so I must be careful.

Future goals and purposes

By the way, my goal is to live happily until I am 100 years old.
I have decided not to think about the purpose.

For the time being, I intend to enjoy what is right in front of me with all my might.

First of all, I think I will learn how to cook little by little.
I cannot keep burdening my wife forever.

I also intend to take on the challenge of supporting my grandchildren's growth.
There may be more that they can teach me, but I will do my best to do whatever I can.

What kind of people, things, and events will I encounter in the life ahead?
I am very much looking forward to it.
I hope to be able to introduce my new encounters on Renkon Note.
