🌿 Episode 2 | The Day I Realized the Cause

I still didn't know for sure
yet
why my hair loss had stopped.

However,
when I placed my hand on my head,
it felt different than usual.

The weight was gone.

It wasn't so much that it felt 'light',
but rather that it felt like it had finally
returned to a place
I could touch again.

Until now, my scalp had felt
somehow
distant.

No matter how much I pressed
or massaged it,
it wouldn't respond.

It was as if
it had been trapped
behind a thin veil.

I thought I was just tired.
Or that it was just my age.

But

that wasn't it.

It was the things I had layered on
to protect it.

Things I have layered on over and over
many times
from above
to make it look beautiful.

That kindness,
before I knew it,
had stopped
the skin
from breathing.

In a place where you cannot breathe,
no flow is created.

In a place without flow,
life
cannot remain.

The reason "hairs that hadn't reached the end of their lifespan yet"
were falling out
was not because they were weak.

They simply
had nowhere to go.

The life force that lost its exit
was simply
stalled
on the inside.

But,
the moment the film was removed,
air
began to pass through.

Just from that,
the hair loss
stopped.

I didn't
add anything.

It was just that
what had been covering me
quietly
fell away.

The cause
was not inside my body.

It had been
outside all along.

In a place
so obvious
that no one
ever doubted it.
