The Netskope management console is getting rounded
Hello. This is Iwanaga from Marubeni I-DIGIO.
My main duties involve providing implementation and operational support for Netskope.
The Netskope management console is something I interact with almost every day, whether I'm conducting product demos or performing verifications.
While performing my usual Netskope verification, I recently noticed that parts of the management console screen have started to become rounded.
When I shared this in our internal chat, my boss said one thing:
"Why don't you write a note about this?"
So, taking my boss's pass (or was it an unreasonable request?) seriously, I'm going to write about the signs of future updates that can be seen from these subtle changes in the Netskope UI.
1. One day, the corners of Netskope suddenly disappeared
When using SaaS products,
"The button is in a different place than yesterday!" or "The menu name has changed!"
It's a common occurrence to be surprised by silent updates that happen without prior notice.
This change in Netskope wasn't as flashy as a major new feature being added all at once.
When I suddenly opened a familiar settings screen, the "corners" of some UI parts, such as button frames and table corners, had been removed and were now rounded.
I also feel like the font has become a bit cuter.

By the way, the following pages are not yet rounded.
I wonder if my feeling about this comes across...

2. Is this a sign of a "major update"...?
I had heard that there was a movement to gradually review the UI, and some UI changes were also announced in the release notes for R138, which was released in June 2026.
This change might be one of the moves that hints at future UI revisions.
(Perhaps Japanese language support for the Netskope management console is also coming soon...?)
Also, looking at recent UI/UX trends, "flat & rounded corners" designs are becoming mainstream in Windows 11 and various SaaS tools.
Netskope is a solution that provides robust security such as "Zero Trust," "CASB," and "SWG."
That is why I thought that perhaps they have started to focus on "friendliness" and "modern softness" so that the console screen that administrators face does not feel intimidating.
3. The "UI change barrier" that comes with expectations
As a user, I am genuinely a little excited to see it evolve into a modern and easy-to-use screen.
However, opinions like these are bound to come up.
"It changed suddenly..." "It's hard to use... I don't understand..."
For administrators, it takes time to get used to changes in the UI they use every day.
Right now, the change is only to the extent that "some parts have become rounded," but if the menu structure or icons change significantly in the future, we will need to get used to the new screen.
As a Customer Success Manager (CSM), I also interact with many customers.
Therefore, I felt once again that I want to catch up on these UI changes more sensitively than ever, rather than just letting them end as "just an update," and provide solid support so that customers do not get lost.
4. Conclusion
Subtle UI changes in SaaS that you only notice because you touch them every day.
Being able to experience in real-time the process of cloud services evolving and becoming easier to use every day might be a secret thrill for IT engineers who handle the products.
To all Netskope users, if there are any points where you think, "This has changed too!", please let me know.
I would like to continue to watch over the evolution of Netskope warmly.
