A 3-minute guide to a handy feature🐾 How to turn ChatGPT images into Canva assets by long-pressing on iPad and iPhone ①

Some of you may already know this, but I didn't.
Honestly, I was surprised! I had no idea this feature existed!

When I long-pressed an image generated by ChatGPT on my iPad, I discovered a feature that was more practical than I expected.

At first, I thought, 'Maybe it just crops the image,' but as I continued testing, I realized it was at a level that could change the entire production workflow.


I discovered that if you long-press an image, it becomes a sticker!

When you long-press an image, 'Add Sticker' appears.

A 'sticker' in Apple terms is an asset where only the subject is cut out from the background.

In other words,

Saving the image
↓
Removing the background
↓
Converting to PNG

You can sometimes skip this entire process.


The first hurdle is the 'half-moon icon'

However, the tricky part is,

I didn't know how to open the sticker list.

It's called a sticker in Apple terminology, but

it looks like

a 'half-moon-like icon'.

I definitely couldn't figure it out at first glance.

I was able to use it as an asset directly in Canva

This is the main point.

I was able to use the cropped sticker directly in Canva.

In other words,

Long-press

↓

Sticker

↓

Canva

That's it.

Header images,

thumbnails,

SNS images,

manga assets,

replacing speech bubbles,

etc. It saves a lot of time.

While testing it,

'Oh, this isn't just a toy'

was the moment I realized.

Points to note this time🐾

* Within GPT, this applies to images that appear when you tap on them in sequences, etc., and may not work for standalone images.
* If the image isn't a certain size, the long-press may not react.
* It may not react if it's not a person or object.
* Please do not repost, distribute, or publish images owned by others without permission or checking the terms of use.
