I truly feel glad that I married into this family
No. 543 The story introduced this time
Here, we present "heartwarming stories that bring tears to your eyes" based on threads from 2channel (now 5channel) and other bulletin boards, along with videos uploaded to YouTube and other platforms.
The story introduced this time is a post by a woman who married into a rural family, detailing her life from childhood until she saw her mother-in-law pass away.
Regarding the posting date,
summary siteI was able to confirm a post from September 6, 2019, from a copy-paste, but I apologize if this is incorrect.
There was a YouTube video based on this story, so I will introduce that as well.

I saw my mother-in-law off the month before last.
The day before she passed away, she said to me, "Thank you. I'm glad you became my daughter. It was fun."
I loved my mother-in-law, too.
It was fun.
I wanted to go on more trips with her.
Before my mother-in-law, I saw off my husband's grandmother, before that his grandfather, and before that his great-grandmother; they were all good people.
They were all such good people.
Only my mother-in-law passed away due to illness, so while it is a pity that we could have spent more time together, I decided to believe that if she was happy, then it was for the best because of the words she said to me at the end.
Since I was a child, I was introverted and had no friends.
Even when someone spoke to me, I would act suspiciously and couldn't talk well.
I liked working silently on things by myself, so I went to the home economics department of a junior college,
thinking that if I could acquire a skill in that field, I could live on my own.
I didn't have confidence in my appearance, so I never fell in love with anyone.
I never thought anyone would be interested in me from the start, and because of that, I didn't think I could ever get married.
Perhaps my parents thought that if they wanted to get such a daughter married somehow, they should do it while her youth was still an asset.
Right after I graduated from junior college, they brought me a marriage proposal.
The partner was an heir to a full-time farming household, a dozen years older than me.
It wasn't inconvenient if you had a car, but it was in a very rural area, and the distance was actually good for me.
It was a place where I was unlikely to meet my former classmates.
But when I saw the photo, I thought he would turn me down anyway.
However, before I knew it, the date for the meeting was set, and when we met, he was also a quiet person who was fidgety, and halfway through, we were left alone, and it became like a fidgeting contest between the two of us.
Then, he suddenly seemed to find it funny and burst out laughing, and I was drawn into it and burst out laughing too, and we ended up saying to each other, "We're not good at this, are we?"
Oh, I thought at that moment that I might end up marrying this person.
And six months later, we held the ceremony.
There was only about a month until the engagement ceremony, but I didn't dislike it at all; "comfortably swept along" is the perfect expression for it.
I had no anxiety at all, and I wondered if this was what they called fate.
And so, I married into a farming family.
My mother-in-law, grandparents-in-law, great-grandmother-in-law, and my husband, who was an only child.
My parents, when they received this marriage proposal, actually thought about turning it down because they thought I would have a hard time.
Because I never talked about what I thought about marriage or what kind of ideals I had, they wanted me to experience a marriage meeting once.
They thought I might be able to talk about various things then.
It feels a bit irresponsible, but in the end, I am grateful.
I hadn't done much farm work until recently.
I married into the family intending to do it, but I got pregnant right away, and after that, two more children were born every other year, and when there weren't enough hands, they hired people, so they told me it was fine.
My mother-in-law, grandmother-in-law, and great-grandmother-in-law were all fun people and cherished me very much.
I discovered that although I couldn't talk to people of my own generation at all, I seemed to be okay with older people, and as I gained confidence little by little, I became able to talk to other moms normally.
They all seemed to have been lonely after marrying into the countryside, so we became very close.
When I used the skills I learned in junior college to sew cute house dresses for my great-grandmother-in-law and others, or remade clothes with memories they couldn't throw away, they were very happy.
I never thought the day would come when I would have such a happy married life.
I was involved in the nursing care of everyone, but it felt like I was just nursing sick family members normally.
It's not me trying to be tough; I barely even had the consciousness that it was "nursing care."
More than that, it was more painful to see them disappear from that lively and fun house one by one.
I thought my children would go to universities in the city and find jobs there,
but my eldest son has been dating his high school girlfriend the whole time, and it seems they will get married and return next year.
I thought it would be lonely now that it's just the two of us, but my husband laughs and says, "It's like a fleeting newlywed feeling for just the two of us."
This person, although he is still a man of few words, is truly serious, healthy, and kind,
and I think it is truly a happy thing to always have the peace of mind that I will be okay as long as I am by his side.
On the internet, rural farming families are often called "pus families," and a woman like me who seems to have been doing nursing care ever since she got married is probably seen as a slave.
But I am clearly living more since I married into this family than when I was at my parents' home.
I truly feel glad that I married into this family.
