Bob and the Earthquake
No. 893 The story introduced this time
Here, I compile stories that have become topics on the internet or in the news, along with videos uploaded to YouTube and elsewhere, into articles titled "Stories so good they bring tears to your eyes."
This time, I am introducing a post about a Black male colleague who came on a business trip.
Regarding the posting date
SourceI confirmed the post date as November 19, 2008, on the site where it was published, but I apologize if I am mistaken.

A Black man named Bob (pseudonym) came to our company from our US branch on a business trip.
You might think, "Hey, that's a lazy name just because he's Black," but he looks and is built exactly like Bob Sapp and is 209 centimeters tall.
I am a former professional boxer who retired after a retinal detachment, and even now I still do about 60-70% of the training I did in my prime, but the thickness of his arms is fundamentally different.
Even though our body fat percentages aren't that different, the difference is like a Corolla versus a Hummer.
His thighs are about the same size as my waist; he's a former American football player, hence the name Bob.
When Bob experienced an earthquake (seismic intensity 2) for the first time in Japan, he ran outside screaming with a roar like an earthquake: "OH GAAAAAAH!! MOMMYYYYYYY!!!!"
When I talked to my Japanese colleagues later, we both calmly remarked, "Oh, so it wasn't 'Oh My God'," and we had a little laugh.
When he came back, he asked, "Why are you guys so calm? It's a quake!? Aren't you scared!?"
I couldn't bring myself to say that his face while running away was scarier, so I just said, "Well, we're used to it," and he replied, "Crazy..."
That Bob seems to have gotten completely used to earthquakes now, and when there was an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 3,
"Wow, that one shook quite a bit. Oh, I turned off the gas in the break room," he said, having learned how to deal with it calmly, which is soothing in its own way, but I teased him a bit by imitating him, "MOMMYYYYYYY!! HELP MEE!" and he replied, "Hey lol, please just forget about that already lololol."
Bob is seriously a great guy.
