My child's development is a little slow, so I attend a health center.

During a mother-child class, a grandmother and two boys wandered in.

"Excuse me, is this the venue for the foster parent association meeting?"

I had seen the sign when I went to the restroom, so I told them,

"In that case, it's in room XX on the floor above."

The grandmother bowed her head and left, holding the boys' hands tightly.

However, I remembered that room XX is tucked away and hard to find, so I thought I should guide them, left my child with the teacher, and chased after them.

A conversation that sounded like something out of a manga heard from ahead

Younger boy: "Was that person 'Mom'?"
Older boy: "Yeah, something like that. But our mom is Grandma! Even if you and I were born in different places, we're like brothers, and even if she isn't our real mother, Grandma is our mom."

Younger boy: "Yeah, Grandma is definitely kinder than any pretty mom."

The grandmother was just smiling at the two boys in turn.

That smile was just so gentle, and it felt like I could see how much love this grandmother poured into these boys, and for some reason, I wanted to cry.
