A long time ago, my sister, who was 10 at the time (she was incredibly well-behaved and never asked for anything selfish), made a rare request to our mother.
(By the way, we didn't get an allowance; the rule was to consult with Mom whenever we needed something and go buy it together.)

Sister: "Mom, I want this (pointing to a black leather wallet in a magazine). Please buy it for me."
Mom: "( ﾟдﾟ) Huh!? W-what do you want?"

Maybe because requests from my sister were super rare, Mom seemed flustered lol
And when she found out it was a wallet, she thought about it for a moment.

Mom: "Hmm, it's fine to want your own wallet, but this is leather, right? Isn't it a bit too mature for you, ●●? Why don't you pick something cuter?"
Sister: "No! I really want this one! Please! I promise I'll use it carefully forever even when I grow up!"
She begged so desperately that Mom eventually gave in and bought the wallet for her.

I remember how cute she was, doing a dance of joy, jumping up and down, and even sleeping while hugging the wallet lol
